There's car more to it than that. Both the Avalon TRD and upcoming Camry TRD used lighter than wider wheels, performance oriented springs, struts/shocks, upgraded ant-roll bars, underbody bracing at the TRD exhaust system,.

IAmJustLordFarhan: The Normal Dude I’m pretty sure the Avalon does have amenities not found in the Camry being Toyota’s Luxury Sedan. I personally really like panoramic roofs and was disappointed when I found out It’s not available in the Avalon. I just checked, you’re right the new 2020 ES is available with a panoramic roof. Also the 2019 LS.

@@tyronewilson7890 I've read all about it. The package is essentially identical to the Avalon's, though the Camry version employs higher performance spec tires and is a couple hundred pounds lighter. Ultimately, neither is a true "performance sedan," as evidenced by solid (vs. vented) rear rotors, open (vs. limited slip/locking/torque vectoring front diffs like the GTI), etc. Still, I really appreciate Toyota's efforts in this and hope sales are solid. Real world performance will be more than sufficient for the vast majority of the driving public.

@@A772 Because the TRD has performance tune springs, shocks, unit-roll bars (front and rear), wheels (wider and lighter) and additional chassis bracing. It also has larger front brake rotors with specific twin piston calipers.

Much better in that this Toyota can be completely refueled under 3 minutes and that vehicle range is essentially unaffected by ambient temperature.
