I just bought a Resurgence LD, here in Australia, I'm a returning archer and this bow felt very good in the shop, got the lot so looking forward to getting back into it, I bought it at Archery Essentials in Perth Western Australia, Good place to shop.

I've always thought the primary benefit of lower let-off % (having to pull harder into the shot at full draw) was to minimize grip induced torque. (Downside is being more difficult to hold for longer periods at full draw.) IMO, any bow that has a solid back wall & high let-off essentially lets you accomplish the same thing by "pulling a little harder into the shot" @ full draw. Seems to me (that for hunting at least) this is the best of both worlds. Another side benefit (higher let-off) is: It also provides you a softer "sear" on the release. (Release breaks easier with less tension.) So if you like a lighter trigger on an index trigger wrist style hunting release, you can keep the release at it's safe factory setting "away from the edge." (Without worrying about it not holding through the draw cycle/and during letdown if you decide to not take the shot.) Doing the math, there's a BIG difference between holding a 70# bow at 70% vs. 90% let-off. (3x the holding weight of 21lbs. vs. 7 lbs.) And "feel-wise", IF you're caught in an extended holding pattern @ full draw.....

I shoot a Bear Cruzer g2. I changed the sight to a 5 pin Volt sight , changed to the Sync drop away rest, and upgraded to a Dedenator stabilizer. I got to tell you my single cam bow is fantastic! I’ve killed 5 deer this season with this setup. Shooting Easton Axis arrows with alumanocks. It’s a game changer. If your looking for a great hunting bow I would highly suggest the Bear Cruzer g2. Go to your Bear archery dealer and try out a Bear Cruzer g2!

I have just started looking into compound bows. Seeing quit a few videos and talked to sale's people. One thing that they all have in common is that they all say to point the bow straight out and then pull back. Now, like I said, I'm no pro, wouldn't even consider myself a neophyte, but why does this guy point his bow up towards the sky?

I’m no expert myself, but I have two thoughts: raising the bow will get you in trouble in some archery competitions (safety, not shooting over the target in case of accidental release) but I don’t think it’s likely to be as big of a concern for hunters, for better or worse. Second, it’s easier to pull a heavy draw weight like that, and I think hunters tend to use heavier bows than target archers because they care more about arrow speed and not only accuracy.

The problem with bear bows that in my area there is NO DEALER and the bow that I like you can't even buy it thru them because it is sold out .WHAT IS THE POINT TO HAVE BOWS ON THE LESS EXPENSIVE SIDEWHEN THEY ARE SOLD OUT ALL THE TIME AND NOBODY SELLS THEM.

Play it at half speed.....that "fishtail" is the shaft flexing and then your eye gets fooled by the different color fletchings spinning. The arrow flight is perfect. You can tell by watching the nock.

Every bow is not a great bow. If I don't like one, we don't review it. (Watch our video on the Darton Spectra E and listen to what I say about last year's version. There's no video from us on that bow.) And let me explain that further. A lot of "liking" a bow is subjective. I can like something that another person hates and vice versa. I try to leave the subjectiveness out of it. I have seen enough bows and worked with enough pro shop customers that I have a decent idea of when a bow is a "good one" and when it's not. Not saying I'm the authority on that. But I have a good idea when I'm holding something that's just not going to perform well. We don't review those bows because I don't believe it's not my job to bash a company's work. We just choose to put the spotlight on the bows we think are "good" and which people will like.

The price of these bows are such a scam. 1k-2k for a bow and if you're lucky it's not stripped it'll come with plastic sights, and plastic whisker biscuits that all have to be tighten every few shots and better not drop it or your whole bow will be off. 1k-2k rifle and you've got a really solid and nice setup that's not plastic junk. It's ridiculous
