Awesome bike! Glad you’re digging it! It reminds me of something I’ve heard other bikers say about your cc progression. You start at 250/300, go to 600, then 1000. Then you realize all that power is pointless, so you go down to a 650. At any rate, enjoy the ride, you don’t need to do too much to it. I’d go for frame sliders, swingarm spools and see what kind of options I had for mounting a phone. Other than that, it looks good to go!

MT07 Is the best bike one can buy nowadays. I had lots of bikes and MT10 including... 07 is just amazing. It feels a lot like 10 in many ways but it's more agile below 100kmph and consumes much less gas and what is mainly missing comparing to MT10 is that top end power(which anyways should be avoided on street riding, as with many 1000cc bikes). What I want to say is that i sold mt10 mostly because of big fuel consumption (i ride lots per year) and i couldn't believe how much I fell in love with 07. Honestly, i thought it might be underwhelming for the guy who got used to 1000cc, but 07 proved a great point. Great torque, no electronics, great character from engine, 87% of power on 3k rpm, amazing handling, amazing fuel consumption, great comfortable sitting position, and it's also great for two up riding. 09 came to my mind but i don't like that fully upright sitting position, strange handling at slower speeds, lack of front end feel that 07 and 10 have, and I'd need to lower the passenger foot pegs to modify it. 07 is just amazing and perfect for most riders and most use cases... I highly recommend it to everyone.

I went from a mt10 to a mt07 and now have the new mt09. After the Akra, dna stage 2 filter and tune the new mt09 is a absolute dream, so much better handling than the older gen and very punchy. That said I miss my mt10 for the top end and soundtrack and I miss my 7 for non stop wheelies (easiest bike to wheelie ever) and city cruising. They’re all sooo good, I love them all.
@CycleCruza2 жыл бұрын
I had an akra and tune on my MT-09, made it much better but I just did not gel with that bike at all. I hear the new mt-09 is better but still has that shitty on/off ride by wire throttle. Its too bad because that triple cylinder engine is great. Honestly, I don't feel much difference from 0-60 between the mt-07 and mt-09, both pull hard off the line. I like the mt-07 better tho compared to my former 2020 mt-09.

@@lopezdad30 yes it does it easy as, so does the 9 actually, I can third gear power wheelie and go through all the gears, before the tune it would only do it second gear. Mt07 is sooo good on the back wheel though, it’s one of the easiest road bikes to learn clutch ups and even first gear wheelies at low speed are so easy to control.

I did the same thing. Went from MT-09 to Mt-07 because it's way more fun to ride a slower bike fast than literally just smoke yourself on the Mt-09 when you finally get balls to go full throttle. The acceleration on the MT-09 is brutal for the uninitiated! A great bike but I'm less likely to kill myself on the 07 if I want to run through the gears. I think it's more fun honestly. Yeah the smaller mid-range bikes are more practical and fun for urban city riding. I have one that’s now done 5000km. After 700km, the suspension just bedded in really well. I’ve changed out the 10 wt fork oil for 15 to help with the lack of rebound damping. I’m thinking to give 20wt fork oil a go to see if it’s an improvement without being to slow on the rebound. The rear shock rebound bumping adjuster screw has been wound all the way in and one revolution out. Works pretty good for me at about 90kg.

It aint no fun to ride a fast bike slow...hit the nail on the head, you are absolutely right! I had a Busa and a couple big Bandits for many years (loved 'em) but got rid of them over the last several years and got a cb500x in '19. It's perfect for commuting, fun to ride, no electronic rider aids needed and 70 mpg! Then I added a 2022 mt09sp to compliment the cb and love the thing but really the mt07 would have been just as good of a choice. Some bikes just strike the almost perfect balance of weight/power/handling/fun and the mt07 is on that list.

CRUZAA! You gotta do the R6 throttle mod on the MT07. Completely transforms the bike reducing the throttle rotation from 90 degrees to 45 degrees. For the exhaust, consider Black Widow. @@CycleCruza R6 throttle is a 30 dollhair mod and took me 15 minutes to install. It feels like the throttle that should have come from the factory, it makes downshifts and power wheelies much easier. Absolutely worth it Cruza.
@yourwifesboyfriend60812 жыл бұрын
@@5150GSD The radius of the portion of the R6’s throttle tube that the throttle cables wrap around is roughly double that of the MT-07 OEM throttle tube. This translates to getting more power without twisting your wrist as far (45 degrees to wide-open-throttle, compared to 90). Makes downshifts a breeze and less of a chore to have to modify hand position to access all of the 07’s power.

hello, welcome to the mt 07 club,.. you've had so many bikes and even better ones, but it's still clear that you have a lot of fun with a mt 07, and in fact it's true,.. the 07 is special,.light , agile ,..easy to master,.. more controllable, and even pulls very well to just over 70hp ,.., I have the 2020 model, and it still surprises me,..very nice to drive, a lot of fun , and as soon as you put the exhaust full,.. it's like having a new 07 kkkkkkkkkk, it's a big difference,..besides the sound, the engine also responds better, more reactive,.., in short, for more circuit urban,.. must be one of the best motorcycles in its category,..besides being also one of the most economical and very reliable,.. its simplicity is its trump card!

Im so glad you’re having fun CC, remap, exhaust and you got yourself a cool bike… asleep a few suspension upgrades and you might take it to the track and learn a bit more track riding!

Even in stock form this bike is fun, when I get it opened up with a proper exhaust and tune it will be even more amazing. I've been chill on track riding because I'm too cheap to drop hundreds on a track day. I do want to ride a supermoto hybrid track (track + dirt combined) if I can find one.

This was thee hardest bike to get. I spent an entire day calling all over the country and they were all sold out and backed up with orders. I found ONE dealer here in OH that could place an order and it took well over a month to get it. I didn't think it was ever going to come.

You’re 100% right about liter bikes being largely pointless on the street. Like high-horsepower cars, they end up in the hands either of people who want bragging rights (fair enough) or idiots who don’t know how to drive/ride. I ride a Triumph Speed Triple 1050, which is a liter, but I fell in love with the looks, handling, and comfort of the bike. I’ve never been above 85mph on it and don’t plan to. Keep on, Cruza!
@joeplem53292 жыл бұрын
Those are the same reasons I bought my 2020 z900, looks amazing (to me anyway) and handles great. My dyna street bob makes 106hp/122tq so I THOUGHT I knew what a fast bike was until I gave the Z a half throttle roll on and reality hit what a "fast bike" actually feels like and it's kinda annoying only using 45-50% of what it can do.

I rented a mt07 earlier this year then demo'd a stock one. The one i rented had a ixil exhaust and it was so loud but sounded so gooood. neighbors wont like you that much if you leave early in the morning but its worth it. The guy also did a suspension swap. it was full kitted out for track use. MT07 is worth the hype if you dont need or like stiff suspension. you buy the bike for the motor not for the suspension

I have the 2019 version with orange mags. Real torquey for a small bike and very light ... Perfect for city riding and I would recommended cranking the rear shock to the max for better sporty handling . The front suspension is too soft but it can be modded easy and the CP2 really roars with a pipe its vert surprising . I am really torn into upgrading to MT09 ... Only reason is the MT09 has the SP version and vetter highway power
@williambrodmanvi59442 жыл бұрын
Its a trick the mt-09 is a nice bike dont get me wrong or nothing, but as far as over all enjoyability of the machine as a whole. My vote says in the long run the mt-07 may indeed be the one that comes out on top. Just saying... I presently own a fully suspention moded 2018 MT-09 of which im very happy with but its not the radain of yester year that the mt-07 may in fact be! Like the stepchild of a parts bin bike the radian actually was for yamaha, sometimes ya find of the best things in the most unexpected places. 65-75 hp bike with a decent handfull of torque may just be one of the hidden magicail jems in disguise for that of the modern urban sprawl! Its just simply at home in that of the unavoidable enviornment of urban city streets! I'm often finding the home in which I can make the MT-09 behave like its at home and comfortable in its enviornment but I'd bet that an MT-07 on need hardly bother simply because it ever present and hard pressed to find on of most any other machine. Jm2c... take of it for what its worth to ya... Ride on...

R6 forks on an mt07 might just be the SP version! Lol... If I could have purchased an Mt07 off the showroom floor with R6 USD forks I would have purchased it a year prior to that of my purchase of the mt09 I have now. Just saying Yamaha is one strike away from a repeatable grand slam but they just have yet to realize of it!

I'm a new rider I got my license an got the bike a week or 2 later an as a noob rider I think it's a very cozy comfortable bike. definitely got enough power in my opinion sometimes I wish it was faster but I can't complain when I get on it it goes. once I get it tuned I'm sure it'll be more responsive

I found that the front suspension was so soft that it would nearly bottom out under hard braking. I added heavier oil and cut down the spacer and it really improved it. I weigh 210 so that might be different than what you see. I also live in West Virginia and the roads here are horrible. Best thing you can do for your phone is just leave it at the house. I'm not talking to you until I get home anyway.

Yamaha did a very good job with this CP2 and CP3. Both Mt09 and Mt07 are very good the only downside is the quality compare to the European but for the price can’t complain. Still miss my Mt09. Congrats 🎊
@CycleCruza2 жыл бұрын
Quality is good but it doesn't have premium suspension but you pay less. For urban riding on bad street like Cleveland the suspension is just fine. I don't trust euro bikes after owning a couple of them, they were the only bikes I ever had problems with (Aprilia and Ducati). You can never go wrong with a Yamaha.
@mathieuconstantin33562 жыл бұрын
@@CycleCruza same here man L.A streets are horrible with those stiff suspension and you’re right with EU bikes they are beautiful but not as reliable as big 4 that’s why I keep buying them. I stayed with 900cc engine because i love them but on day I’ll buy a T7.
