Wow.. record taxes, record construction project delays, (my province) record grocery prices in Canada, tax on a tax for gas or an alternative method like growing wings and flying across the bridge and 40 minutes to my job . What great times in Canada atm. We shut down the economy out of fear of a sickness with a 99% chance survival rate and printed out stacks of cash to promote staying at home. Just to fast forward to people freezing in the streets living in tents. 30 years old, been investing and saving for years and I'll probably never be able to realistically afford a child and a house.

Lived and worked in Vancouver for the summer and got a T4 sent to me. I earned in total under 5k, will it be worth claiming back and how would I go about it?

If you lived and worked in BC and had an income of $5K and no other income than you would owe zero taxes. You would be entitled to a refund if your employer collected part of your salary in taxes.

My Climate Action Initiative payment for my wife and myself was $183 here in Ontario this quarter. Looking forward to the increase in April 2024. I calculated i got back more then I paid in 2023. @@GriffinMilks

when you start to talk to people that live in tax Haven, you know wonder why money is disappearing from countries like Canada we heard from one person that pays I think 2% total taxes where they are residing their corporate income, and their rental income is tax-free so rental

Why are you talking about 2022 tax brackets? Shouldn't it be 2023 and 2024 tax brackets?

The tax rates will increase in 2024 on 2024 income, but this is for the income made in 2023, tax payable April 30th 2024... hope that makes sense
