I'm going to downsize to this fabulous car from a volvo v70 gasoline. I'm 6foot3 tall and have plenty of space on front and rear seats . Testdrive was great.

I have driven Honda civics for over 12 years and absolutely loved them. However as a single man on my own now I was acutely aware that a civic was far more car than I needed. When the new civic was revealed it was slightly bigger. At that point I knew I needed to down size my car, so I started looking elsewhere for small cars such as the ford fiesta. The Honda jazz was never a consideration for me because I was influenced by the stigma that the jazz was a pensioner car. Then I thought “what are you thinking” what the hell, I have always had a great experience with Honda with their aftercare and great service. Ever since I have driven Honda’s I have never had a single breakdown, never anything gone wrong, so why look elsewhere. Got myself to the Honda garage to try out a jazz, it was a dream to drive, so as you can guess I bought a jazz. Didn’t like the wheels on the top spec car so paid extra for alloys, every time I get in it (by the way it is the hybrid version) driving out of my street in electric mode silently is so cool. As for fuel consumption I regularly get into the 60s, so my fuel expenditure has been cut by at least 40%. Driving this car is a dream, the tech it has is more than you could want and the space is almost tardis level.

I’m a civic driver . My wife has a jazz. Like you I’m finding my civic a bit too big for me round town and like you when I was told the new civic is even bigger than my 2020 model I started thinking of a smaller car. We are thinking of getting a new jazz and going down to one car. The civic is great for motorway driving though. I’ve driven Honda cars for just over 20 years and also never had a breakdown so I intend to stick with Hondas .

A friend had one of the really-truly original jazz cars. It went like a bomb... 1300cc engine,and was about the size if the mini..(when that was small)... early 80s.

Am I the only one who has a problem with the windscreen on sunny days? Dappled sunlight seems to blank out the screen when passing trees . I have never had this on other vehicles that I have owned. Apart from this I love my Jazz exec. It shows anything between 65 and 82 mpg on the screen. Not believing this I kept a check on the mileage and it came out right. I have had it for two years now and hope to keep it for years.

I suspected that would be a problem with that big slanting windscreen. I have driven a Brio and it also has an oversized windscreen that lets all that heat in and it gets pretty uncomfy at times.

We have one of these, it's a shame you didn't try a bit of city driving while you had it, it's unbelievably economical in stop start city driving .... 85mpg is easily achieved without trying. I've never had less than 66mpg over a tankfull !

I am likely about to buy one, but in New Zealand it doesn't come with the service plan unless you purchase it

I have the pre-facelift model, still the Mk4 though, I get 75MPG local 60-65MPG on a long motorway run. You didn't mention the "Magic Seats' but anyway a very good review.
@oliverskinner8962Ай бұрын
That's good I get 50-55 mpg on the motorway but probably a little faster than you 😉

0 to 60 in about 10 seconds? No way, mine does it in 8.25 sec. There are some clips on YT with acceleration tests.

Most people don't like the spaciousness and practicality of an MPV people like the look of cars that don't suit them very well and that's the honest truth !

My mechanic friend told me that you need to replace the battery every 2 years ! Expensive !
@CandidM5 ай бұрын
why so? Did he give any explanations? If you go to jazz forums, where people are using modern hybrid jazzes/fits for the past 3+ years, there are almost no complaints about batteries.
