Ordered mine a couple weeks back. I really didn't think it felt as heavy off the stand as most are saying, having said that I am coming from a Harley Forty Eight ha. Felt so light and easy to ride. Can't wait to explore on it.
@roscoerana93554 ай бұрын
When it comes to weight, theres a lot of potential to reduce it on the RE, CF's wet weight is close to 200kgs with no potential to reduce. Also the Hemi seems more capable of taking the abuse on the trails, not sure if the plastic on CF will hold up after a few falls.

Just a quick note…. The tubeless tyres are a cost option on certain variants. The gold wheels you have there are tubed I believe. Someone from RE said the tubeless aren’t available in the gold wheels. But on the whole a really good review. Still prefer my current Himmy though 😊
@motorsforthemasses4 ай бұрын
That was the tubeless one, unless they had put tubeless tyres on those wheels from factory. I did put a text subtitle at the pricing bit that did state the extra price of the tubeless version.
@chris-s4 ай бұрын
That is the tube version you ride , the tubles are completely different spoked going to the edge of the rim
@marksimpson52184 ай бұрын
As Chris said it’s a easy spot, the spokes go to the outside.

@@motorsforthemasses nope, those are tubed tyres. The tuless rims are black and pig ugly.
@motorsforthemasses4 ай бұрын
@chris-s I understand what you are saying and I thought the same having reviewed so many. However, those tyres definitely said Tubeless on them, unless at factory they use the same tubeless tyres but just put tubes in them.
@brunothepug88074 ай бұрын
Tubeless tires a big hit for me! The weight will be nice on highways for stability in cross winds. Hope to see it in the US soon!

196 kg wet is heavy for a bike of this power, but there is a big rack, front crash bars and a main stand. I like a heavy duty side stand. Great dash. I like the fly screen. Great riding position: the bars, the rider triangle. Sounds like a really good bike. I bet the Scram version is interesting. Excellent review.

These were "maybe available feb/march' - delayed to april/may and now end of may but the Hanle black, gold tubeless wheels are now 'june-ish' despite me ordering one last november. Tubeless variants do seem to be that last to get to customers. Seems RE are now producing 5000 a month but we in uk are not the top of their priorities, plenty of bikes in aus/nz/india dealerships on many youtube videos but when we get them they should have ironed out any 'new model' updates?
@jaegermeister19684 ай бұрын
In the past, all ADV bikes had a center stand. I think the new 450 is fantastic. A simple, robust motorcycle that looks so wonderfully old-fashioned. Only the CEAT standard tires are bad. By the way, the black/gold one has tube tires.
@defylifeadventure4 ай бұрын
Yes but these days some people seem to think that adventure riding means jumping logs and playing at being an enduro racer. Channels like Adam Rieman's (otherwise excellent channel) don't help as that is what they are pushing. Classic ADV would be long term long distance travel across countries, continents, etc.. convenience and ease of use is important. The RE450 looks perfectly set up for the job.
