Standard cruise control and upgraded and bigger screen already justified the $800 increase.the lower handle bar and adjustable foot peg made it so much versatile,i want one

I’ve ridden the old MT09 and I’m going to get the 2024. With that said the old MT09 I love that bike. It’s my friends bike. Probably the most fun I’ve had on a motorcycle so can’t go wrong either way. Biggest thing for me was the cruise control added and the new display

I prefer the cyclop face with 2024 model. The new face is a little ugly but its body and tail are more agressive than cyclop's. Anyway, if I didn't get the cyclop recently, I'd wait for 2024 model. 😅

I APPLIED TO A YAMAHA DEALER FOR THE 2023 MODEL IN MARCH. I GOT IT 4 DAYS AGO. BECAUSE MT09 WILL COME TO TURKEY A FEW . AND ALL THE ARRIVED MT09S WERE SOLD TO GALLERIES, AND THEY SOLD THEM 7-8 THOUSAND DOLLARS MORE. PROBABLY 2024 MODEL MT09S WILL COME IN JUNE OR JULY 2025 AND I DON'T KNOW HOW MUCH IT WILL COST.

Old MT09s including the 2023 model are well known for wobbles at high speeds(Above 100MPH). Its clear Yamaha has changed the geometry as well as added weight to address this. You will never notice the 5 kilos of weight that have been added unless you have MotoGP level riding skills. The 2024 model is definitely better than its ever been.

The display is better, the tank is way too wide, the seat is worse, ram air is gone, if I wanted my back and wrists hurting I would have kept my Aprilia. Headlight is just a different kind of weird.

The tank being wide is a good thing as it gives wind protection and better grip with your legs. The change in body position was done to improve handling on the bike as previous models are well known for wobbles and instability at high speeds.

Just SAD that ALL THE UNIQUE SELLING POINTS of the MT-09 got eliminated. In 2023, it was the last upright naked bike that people over 1.85 m (6.1feet) could still right comfortably on, that didn't look like an insect but like a Transformer and that still had a subframe/pillion footrests with luggage attachment points, as well as the option of fitting a windshield. I like every of the other Transformer light masks in the MT series better than this new one. For the GEN 3 to 2023, Givi and Shad had hard case mounts for larger cases, than on a standard GS in their linup and you could attach a large windscreen to the light mask. The subframe load capacity has been removed from the MT-10 from 2021 to 2022 and now from 2023 to 2024 for the MT-09 as well. It's a pity that none of the reviews mention this. If the display becomes so large that it protrudes forward over the light mask, you can no longer retrofit a windscreen. Who convinced the manufacturers that naked bikes have to be made for the racetrack? I've been riding an MT-09 for 30,000 kilometres in 2.5 years and love this engine. With in the commuteabilty gone, the last real UJM is unfortunately dying in my eyes.
