There will be exactly zero 2500’s with 2000+lbs payload. He’s either lying or he doesn’t know squat about trucks.) Still has the relatively weak frame and steering components. FAIL. Increased prices. FAIL. Incorporating trailer brake controls into the big screen? retarded FAIL. Ram may be working their way towards a full remodel. Maybe. It this ain’t it. At least the kept the 50 gal tank. @GeekyDad8411 сағат бұрын
Rear gear ratios were much more important for a long time when all trucks had for transmission where 3 or 4spd auto transmission, or 5-6spd manual. The auto trans trucks all ran fairly similar gearing, so your rear gear ratio did play an important factor in our over all final drive ratio, not to forget tire size since it's a factor as well. The modern 8 and 10sp transmission really help reduce the need for a shorter, bigger number, axle ratio that usually always affects efficiency because they have shorter 1st and 2nd ratio to give similar if not better torque multiplication while still be able able to provide taller gearing for better efficiency on the highway. Not to forget better control over rpm range to help keep the vehicle in a better/more effective/effecient use of the tq or HP.

OK, but tell us what to expect in the cab and chassis trucks. We want the same HO option as the pickups. Sold the trailer, so I bought a 2023 RAM Limited 1500 with the Hemi. The gas tank is too small when towing. Their interiors are the best, in my opinion. Ford does and has made a good-looking truck. The power train is not the same. The engine now has a different fuel system with external injectors amongst other things. The transmission is now a ZF 8spd transmission from the medium duty truck market with a granny low 1st gear that may not be utilized when unloaded giving the truck a higher fuel economy with the higher rear axle gears. Old small cab, low payload ratings, but increased fuel economy… Just not in line with what most hd truck buyers are looking for imo. I pull an 11k lb 38’ travel trailer. I could not do it with a Ram if the payload numbers turn out to be that low. My 2023 F250 Tremor has a payload rating of over 3200lbs (7.3 gasser XLT). With a family of 5 plus a 100lb dog, camping gear and tongue weight I need most of that payload. Add in the larger, newer, safer Ford cab, bedside and bumper steps that are incredibly useful, and a bigger fuel tank it’s pretty clear the Ram just doesn’t compete. I always used to be a Ram fan and owned several, but once I started towing an RV their shortcomings specifically in payload forced me elsewhere. Like the grill and the power increase sounds nice, but that’s not much good if it’s not rated to handle much more than an F150.

I built my 2022 RAM 3500 SRW HO in a 2025 and the 2025 MSRP was ~$6,000 less than my 2022s. Also important to note is that this was developed without Tim K. at the helm. Over $100K in this truck. Maintained it like a mo fo, excellent…Schaffer oil, Opti Lube fuel additive in EVERY tank, balanced and rotated every 10K miles, filters, fluids….open checkbook, spare no expense kind of maintenance, 11 months later at 125K miles 95% highway miles always way under weight, my rear differential blew up, catastrophically, complete destruction. $8K to replace. I had to let it go back to the bank. Found out if you let it go back to the bank they sell it at auction for Whatever they can get, well mine wasn’t even drivable, then you’re on the hook for the balance. I had to declare bankruptcy to get out from having a payment on a truck I didn’t even have anymore. So sad. I begged Ford to help, showed all my maintenance receipt’s, they told me fuk off. My warranty on it was 5 years or 60K miles whichever came first. Here’s the kicker, the first manufacturer recommended diff oil change was at 130k miles, I was 5K miles from getting the fluid changed in that diff….. really crazy thing is I know other drivers personally that have well over half a million miles on Ford 6.7 PSD’s with the new 10 spd trans that tow RV’s for a living and haven’t had a single issue, not one. Just regular maintenance. One guy has a 2017 F-350 with like 1.2 million on it…. Original CP-4 pump…

Not game over at all for the Super Duty. This is a 4.75 Generation truck with a 12 year old cab and chassis just with a new front facia They also won't give the consumer anything to compete with the Tremor. Glad for the ZF across all models, but they didn't learn anything from the failure prone roller lifters. As a Dodge/Ram owner since 1998 I'm not impressed.

All brands need to quit all the “new and improved” BS. Give me a 100,000 mile bumper to bumper and 250,000 mile powertrain warranty! Then you would be taliking!

So 500,000 mile warranty? Bumper to Bumper? Only worth it if the product lasts first day’s performance to last day’s warranty. This worthless discussion about how great anything is when it’s being advertised continues. The Republic is evolving and any product must evolve too. The scam of making products that barely make it out of the short warranty period then to provide these scheming manufacturers with a repair revenue stream is going away. Gone will be the days of using the Republic as a revenue farm.

Game over superduty. Lol, GO, ask TFL they will say otherwise. Ford is still 500 hp 1200 torque. And the ram towing payload, ect, has zero changes to catch up

@bigharryyy03 the new ZF 8spd compensates making lower gears pointless. Unfortunately he did not speak about that at all.

The only game ram should be playing is the game of reliability... Because for the past 4yrs they've been fucking trash
