This is a speed test during peak hours of Super Bowl Sunday (American football main event), and man was it bad!

Thanks for your videos. I was wondering what program are you streaming from? I’m on the Ga/FL line. I’m using the elite 2 box and it’s terrible with live sports. I’m also on the best effort. Thanks.

I used Fubo for live sports but had plenty of problems with streaming, so I went to Sling which streams much better, but not nearly as many games.

Im in ireland and have starlink ,its very good , speed could be 200mps one minute and 10minutes later 12mps so i dont bother checkin it anymore im happy once its doing the job , im not sure its ever going to just stay at the same level tbh but its not fiber but its reliable for folks who have little options,good video👍

Thanks! It’s definitely better for me than my other options. I get a lot of people saying it’s not as good as fiber or cable, to which I tell them that’s normal.

@@tommoore3292 yep, I have no complaints. I personally believe the slowest it will ever be happened a few months ago while SpaceX had to wait on their launch license.

I set up my Starlink today and I was only getting 3-20 mbps kinda forgot about the Super Bowl so hopefully it’ll be better tomorrow

Our starlink is always doing from 190 mbps to 300 mbps

Mine has definitely been getting better the last few months. Mine is still no where near as fast as yours though!

I had best effort for a couple months. Just canceled it when Tmobile 5g came to my area. $110 for 100/20mb average, to $50 for 500/100mb average. Starlink fluctuates too much.

Yeah, mines still fluctuating pretty heavily. I would go with T-mobile as well, but they currently have no plans of servicing my area.

Yea the highest I ever recorded for Starlink was about 250mb. The highest ive gotten with tmobile is 650mb, and I have yet to put a cell booster outside. This is sitting on the kitchen table. Alas, I am only 2 miles from the 5g tower. I really wanted to like starlink, but like you said its way oversold.

@@eroceze I believe it will get better over time, but that T-mobile connection is much better now.

I you are in range of a T-mobile or Verizon tower, it is a way better option than Starlink. Most towers sit near freeways though so anyone out of ultrawide band range might be better off with starlink. Both get about the same ping. 5G is more consistent and with Ultrawide band gets quite a bit more bandwidth

Will speeds get more reliable the more satilites are put into orbit?

Yes, speeds will keep getting better. They are now launching version 2 satellites with laser inter connectivity, so that means if you’re on an island all of those satellites over the ocean will be connected to the one your using to dramatically increase the amount of bandwidth available, meaning faster connections.

@@brainhomestead6 that will be great . Im very happy like i said but the odd time like watching live sport in hd on tv stream it will buffer so hopefully that might improve with time

@@tommoore3292 it will get better, but it will take a bit. My guess is that it won’t be consistently over 100Mbps during peak hours for another year or more. I’m perfectly happy to keep spending $110 per month until it gets there.

I could at least watch the game reliably. A little buffering here and there, but pretty smooth overall.
