Hey Todd and idea simple I'm thought I have a way to get more air in the chamber but uncertain with the adde pressure and volume the motor would even hold up use a mechanical cylinderin the head that drops down after intake stroke and resets after firing on exhaust stroke thoughts.

Has anybody done a Twincharged setup with a 5.9 12 valve Cummins? I've seen compound turbo, large single turbo etc setups, but not Twincharger setup.

What id like to know is if your only making 1k hp will this manifold hurt you in any way,

I highly doubt it, the bottle neck is not likely to be manifold runner volume.... it's likely the turbine inlet/outlet. I could be wrong, but there's no reason to believe a larger manifold would make a problem in any way or shift the power band in any way.

I would say you would loose a little turbo spoolup as you will have to pressurize more manifold space before the turbo gets going.

@@bcbloc02 how long do you think something that flows lbs/min volume would take to fill something the size of a manifold plenum? It takes negligible time. You'll never feel this on the ass dyno if you weren't bottle necked by the previous manifold.

@@kr4dh4x0r a half seconds lag is a half seconds lag. If your goal is 3000hp who cares but if you are racing against a clock then it may matter.

@@bcbloc02 The difference in fill time for a manifold like this is literally going to be min like microsecond scale. Clocks at race tracks don't measure past the hundredth typically. What i'm trying to point out is when you're using a huge pump filling a small ballon vs one slightly larger is going to be very very similar.
