Hard to justify that high price for this A320 when we have the Fenix A320 that looks much better, have a lot of the circuit breakers working, it is also very realistic and is cheaper.

This will be the norm. XP market potential will remain small/niche, so the 3rd party add-ons will be more expensive to make the enterprise worth the investment. This is why XP will remain in the margins of the FS community.

@@777FreakyD X Plane dominated the market for years, they should have done something so that many people had bought addons and thus strengthen the public. In Latin America it is impossible to pay 90 dollars for a plane. Microsoft helped a lot with this thanks to regional prices in the marketplace, and although the Fenix A320 is still somewhat expensive, the quality it has shows that it is worth it. I flew the FF A320 2 years ago and it's still the same, they didn't improve anything and that speaks a lot about them as developers and their desire to reach more audiences

@@ilucasrt xp has never dominated the market. Maybe in 2019 but before that everybody was on p3d and after 2019 the shift to mfs began. Ff a320 get constantly updates. It has not changed much, because it got nearly complete into the market. There was and is not much to change. Change is not a synoym for a good product. In fact many changes can actually indicate a not-ready-release...

@@kleist5083 Not really. If you already payed for it, why would you pay full price to upgrade it? And if you hadn't payed for it yet, why would you get it for less? There's nothing to upgrade, so you'd have to buy the entire plane.

@@kleist5083 The texture isn't the neccesary effort for a flight simulator. The reason why it is expensive is due to how advanced the aircraft's systems are, and I believe (though could be wrong) the actually have an FAA approval so the aircraft could be used in flight schools.

@@kleist5083 You are completely right but one feature the Fenix one slacks are flight physics in emergency situations as an example. V1Simulations (KZbinr, real life pilot) himself used X-Plane to replicate an engine failure because it felt more realistic even though he usually only uses the Fenix for normal flights but for 99% of people the Fenix is definitely sufficient and recommended but there's still exists a small group which rather should use X-Plane for their use, so it a bit depends if the MSFS A320 or X-Planes A319-321s are better.

That’s par for the course in flight sim, seen people spend $500+ and literal terabytes of scenery. U never base a sim on the out of box experience, it’s always on those addons that makes it👌if u don’t have the money unfortunately you won’t be getting the highest enjoyment of the sim…but XP has also one of the largest freeware community’s out there, I didn’t spend a dime on addons for 3 years and I had a very enjoyable experience on XP11

MSFS is probably the cheapest in terms of addons prices (still expensive though). X-Plane lies somewhere in the middle, the problem is it needs a lot of addons to make it looks good. For the biggest money spender, you'll need to take a look at Prepar3D, the base simulator and addons cost are out of this world.

@Swiss001: FF did actually release an update for the A320. For 20 bucks. The 90$ are only if you buy the acf for the first time. And then you get 2 versions: one for XP11 and one for XP12. I really hope you didn‘t pay 90$ if you already have it for XP11 😁

BSS soundset owners: don't work anymore in XP 12. And I don't think BSS will upgrade it. I am really fed up because for EVERY add on I need an upgrade, free or $$$. XP 11 to XP 12 is an expensive migration!

FF A320 was always one of the worse A320s out of XP11, toliss has always been better and the upgrade from XP11->XP12 is pretty cheap and I think the plan is to put the NEO variants come with the upgrade for free

Xplane has a nice flightmodel, maybe slightly better than some Microsoft Planes. Tbh it depends on the addon-devs. BUT this 2010 graphics and those 2005 cockpit-textures are pathetic for a new game where addons are that overpriced. I really dont wanna know how much money an avgeek has to pay to come close to MSFS2020. Edit: Einfach nur frech. Die wissen ganz genau, dass 99% der Flightsimmer keine finanziellen Probleme haben und bereit sind 200-300€ mtl für den Sim auszugeben. Aber man muss es nicht so schamlos ausnutzen.
