Right now for my surfskating Paris 129 mm tkp and Bustin 129mm TKP, Bustin 152mm tkp. I really want to rebuild all of my trucks with Riptide or Venom bushings/pivot cups. I'm going to build what I think will be the Electra glide of surfskates with either Dont Trip or HotRodz and use a 5 foot deck or longer.

Been on the AF1 hollow since the week they released. Made a first impression video on them and am fully stoked. One thing though, after 2 weeks the nut on one of my axles started slipping off and it turns out I had a factory defect. Emailed Ace and within literally 4 days had a brand new set of trucks at my door. Cannot be mad at that level of customer care. It’s been about a month now on my second set and I’m absolutely in love with these trucks, there’s zero downside. They’re just like the AF1 55’s I’d ridden the year previous but noticeably lighter. I see no reason to ride any other truck from here on out.

I've been skating for 31 years and my main trucks over the years have been ventures, thunders, grindking and independent. Currently on my first set of regular AF1s. I find the weight fine. My only complaint is that the top bush extrudes under he top washer which in turn, pinches it to cause blow outs well before it's time. I swap out the top bush only with a bones hard-core medium and we're good to go. That aside, I thoroughly believe these are the best trucks I've ever ridden from my perspective. They're just outstanding and I'm looking forwards to trying out the hollows next

Let's talk trucks! I've been on a different trucks for my past couple setups. I didn't get to enjoy the fruits of my Ace AF1 when I lost it shortly after it's setup. Then, I got ventures and now I reverted to the Indy train to see if I was missing something. I replaced the yellow for red bushings immediately and that is an ideal setup to avoid any kingpin threading issues, because I do not need to tighten my bolts any further down as a 130 pounder. I don't like the idea of crossover truck/bushing mix, unless the bushings were from a non truck company but that sounds absurd. I avoided indy's for how bad my bushings experience have been from 2008 to 2012. Ventures were cool but I did end up enjoying my turning with indy reds. So I wanna know about bushing customizations that is within reach and is crossover worth trying out? 😮💨

@@jamesryan4325 Okay so, turning is a very diverse thing. They both turn great, but Aces have a more divey and unstable turn. The Paris' have a more swoopy and stable turn. The Paris are also the heaviest trucks around, like heavier than standard Indys.

@@grandmascat9782 Interesting observations! Agree, it's a hard thing to define. They both seem have more turning ability than regular Indys. I'm guessing Paris have more lean given their height.
