You should totally add a lot of gold accents like gold candles, gold framing for the painting on the wall and other things that will stand out. In your bedroom, you should totally add an accent wall (maybe a very dark navy blue / almost black) which can make the gold accents really stick out. In your bedroom, you could always add a simple low head sofa which can fill up a part of your room. Thank you so much for inspiring all of us! Love your house!

Hey Garrett. What a gorgeous house. For the couch, have you considered getting a couch cover? You can get ones that mold to the contours of the couch. That way if it ever gets dirty you take it down, wash and reuse.

I think a Sofa table with some lamps would look great. Also, it would be a place for someone to place their drink if they are sitting in the middle of the couch. There are so many varieties, so you need to measure the height and length of your couch before you start looking. I would do a dark grain since your couch is light. Beautiful home!

As a designer, the first thing I would suggest is to pick furnishings that are proportionate to the size of the space. 1) Area rugs (foyer and living room) are too small. It makes the space feel smaller because the area rugs are not proportionate to the space. Increase the size and it will make the space feel larger. 2) Mirror looks a tad too small for the proportion of the space. Perhaps get a slightly larger round mirror and raise it just a little higher. As is it is now, the top of the mirror is just at the height of your head. A larger mirror will make it feel like an even larger space (and you can see more of yourself). 3) Move the front console table closer to the door and perhaps under the window closest to the door. 4) Purchase 2 casual arm chairs for under the mirror and angle them inward from the corners of the windows. Then purchase a small round table and place under the mirror between the chairs. This will create a seating area for the front foyer. 5) The TV/fireplace combination needs some sort of side tables beside the fireplace to balance the scale of the area. Also, if you can find a side table that’s square, you can hide the plugs and most of the electronic connections just hanging from the outlet and you can place other decorative items on the side tables to warm the area. 6) As for your large sofa, right now it’s facing toward the TV, I would recommend re-orienting this so that it’s to the left (side where the blank wall is) of the TV perpendicular to the TV. Your coffee table can also re-orient and face toward the entrance door. 7) When the coffee table is re-oriented, then purchase two large arm chairs and face them opposite the large sofa. 8) When the sofa and coffee table is re-oriented, you have an opportunity to purchase a 2 seater sofa and that will face the TV/fireplace. 9) This setup will create a larger conversation/relaxation area and will use up most of the dead space in front of the kitchen island. 10) In the blank wall in front of the dead space, purchase a really nice buffet console that’s wide enough to fit. Then on the wall you have an opportunity to hang a large decorative artwork that creates a statement (it will be the first thing people will see as they enter the space). I hope that helps a little.
