I feel cursed for coming to Edmonton, Alberta. After living here for six years, earning a graduate degree, and working for over a year in the government, I still have no permanent residency. This is due to the horrible policies of the Ministry of Immigration and Multiculturalism in Alberta. While British Columbia and Ontario have initiated many programs for international graduate students with valid job offers, Alberta lags behind these provinces and seems intent on driving its high-skilled workers away. As a political scientist, I am deeply frustrated with Alberta's current immigration minister.

@@user-xf9md4ez1n cannot help it. This was the case when I went to USA. I was working in my field but could only avail H1 status. In the other sides, I saw many got immigration by unfair means such as FAKE marriages , false reports etc..

Thank you for the video. I have everything ready, work experience more than one year my Celpip results, my university credentials, job offer, contract, reference letter, all scanned and named property. Now my type if fast (IT lady here) however, I went through the forms and I got everything typed in an excel sheet! Also I am using chrome autofill extension which can be filled in advance for customized fields. I have downloaded the required documents checklist and prepared/scanned/ saved/ named all clearly also made sure all files PDF and less than 20 MB in terms of size.

I'm a police officer visiting Ontario Canada from Jamaica I'm applying for the Law Enforcement Stream. I have 14 years of law enforcement experience, but The AAIP application is asking me for my Licence and Since I'm on a visitors visa I don't have a valid Canadian Licence. so what do I do as an Immigrant with unique skills??
