I’m considering this set. Thanks for the review. Also, it’s 2022 and looking back…….. Update it’s been an hour and I bought this set on sale at guitar center. I also bought a strike 12 amp and a double bass pedal.

Buy roland drums. If you’re a beginner, I would recommend you to buy td-11 it ranges about $500-$700 but it works good! And start watching stuff on youtube. Hope this helps’

Good video. Wot a dilemma, though - buy an acoustic kit for £500+ (half the price of this excellent Alesis set) or an electronic drum kit which needs electricity to be properly playable, needs an amplifier, won't annoy the neighbours if you use headphones (hello tinnitus, my old friend...) and costs over a grand. What to do? Buy the E-drum kit!!

Unsuitable for midi recordings! Because for open and closed hi-hat the Alesis sends identical notes.Or rather you can not set different notes according to general midi standard. Yes I have activated GM mode in the menu.

Not entirely complete. The kit sends the same midi note for open and close, but the pedal position is sent as CC4.
