I just got a chance to watch this and I was smiling the whole time - knowing that you and I were working on our videos at the same time this morning and there was SO much overlap in our opinions. Thank you for pointing out that Tiana is NOT the same as Claudie and for pointing out that saying that is the same as saying Belle is the same as Rebecca, etc. I'm seeing that comment a lot, too, but ...different skin tone, different lip color, different eye color, different eyebrows, and different hair (softer curls)...definitely not the same. I loved your take on this collection :)

My daughter and I are so excited with this release! We both love Disney princesses and I’ll be buying several of these outfits. My daughter would be thrilled with any of the dolls but her favorite is Ariel!

My daughter absolutely flipped out at this.. such a smart move on AG’s part to partner with Disney. My daughter’s favorite is also Ariel, followed by Tiana. She didn’t care for Cinderella.

I really like the Tiana doll and her collection. I'll definitely be getting her yellow dress and coat for Claudie. I don't know if I'll actually get the doll, though she is very tempting, way more tempting for me than any other Disney doll. I'd love to see what her hair looks like when you get her. I'm definitely curious to see if her hair is the exact same wig as Claudie's or different. I did hear someone say it has brown highlights in it. Either way, she's stunning and I couldn't be more excited!

Thank you for sharing your thoughts on this collaboration. Being an older collector with grown children, I’m really not into princesses at this stage in the game, but I did go to the store in New York City today, and bought Cinderella, her pink gown, and Tiana’s work dress. I’m thinking about turning Cinderella into Barbie since I missed out on that. I think I have a good starting point for that project if I decide to go down that route. If I wasn’t so tired right now, I would do an unboxing of the things I purchase today but that’s not going to happen tonight. I can’t wait to share and show everyone what I bought.😊

You mentioned maybe changing your Tiana’s lip color- I love that these dolls are not collector doll prices because if I get one I won’t feel bad about removing the bottom lashes! I’m obsessed with her work dress. I love the Tiana doll, because obviously she’s got that extremely sweet Claudie mold, but I’m not particularly attached to the character so I might hold out and see if they release some other Claudie mold dolls that I’ll end up wanting more. I am kind of drawn to Cinderella and her outfits, even though she’s a blonde, blue eyed doll, which is kind of basic, lol. Cinderella was the first movie that tiny me wanted to watch every day. Ariel’s eyes are beautiful but I’m not sure about the cartoon red hair, I’ll have to wait until I see pictures on agig.

YES YES YES, that's exactly right! I wouldn't dream of altering my Rapunzel.. but Tiana, definitely! These dolls would make great customs which is so fun. The cartoon red hair is a definite "eh" for me, although I can see folks being upset if they went with a more natural red.

I agree with you on everything and I heard that we have the possibility of more dolls along with the fact that Cinderella’s hair is sewn in which I don't necessarily like. I would love to see your comparison of Tiana to Claudie because I plan on getting Tinana and I have Claudie already.

I agree - not a fan of Cinderella's hair being sewn in. I'd bet it doesn't look good straight out of the bun either. Claudie and Tiana definitely look very different from what I've seen, and I'm so excited to get her and show you all!

I love your thoughts about Cinderella’s pink dress. They have have made me rethink my original opinion of not liking it so much when seeing how it fit on the doll in the picture. You are right - it is an important (sad) part of her story and I didn’t think of it at first. I absolutely love both of the outfits released for Ariel and Tiana.

Ariel is definitely growing on me for sure! Her brows seem extra angry in the stock photos but luckily a lot of people are saying theirs isn't that way. Seemingly they had to weed through lots of bad ones to get to good ones though!

I'd like to see the comparison between Tiana and Claudie to compare face molds and Tiana and any doll in skin tone 30 to compare skin tones. I'm hoping to get Tiana and her dresses this spring or summer. I also really want Cinderella's work dress and maybe her pink dress too. I'm glad these dolls are not limited editions or bedazzled to be more expensive.

Based off of what I've seen, Tiana has a unique tone. I'm not sure if it is the same as Jasmine's tone yet, but it looks to be. I'm so excited to do all of the comparisons!

My first opinion prior to watching your video I was definitely favoring Tiana and her work outfit. Honestly seeing Flounder and Gus Gus brought so much nostalgia as I love those side characters! I wish for Tiana they added Naveen or Ray. Now I absolutely love this collaboration as a whole! I haven’t felt this excited about a release in so long! I appreciate their price point and not allowing then to be limited edition

Thanks for the review! I completely agree that AG hit it out of the park with this release! This is exactly what we asked for after the LE dolls last year. Lower prices, additional outfits, no crystals and Claudie as Tiana. :) Bonus that Ariel has what looks to be a new eye color. They don't have the skin tone filter updated with these dolls yet, but you're right that Tiana may have the same skin tone as Jasmine. It looks really lovely on her especially with the light brown decal eyes. I love that they all have the upgraded undies on matching colors. I LOVE all of the "casual" outfits and if I weren't taking 2024 off from buying toys, I would definitely buy all 3 of those outfits. We'll see if they're still available in 2025, but they may very well be, as the Harry Potter collection has been around for well over a year now. :) My plan is to get a custom Claudie in 2025 and I would love for her to have Tiana's work outfit - it is gorgeous. Also love that they've included Flounder, Sebastian, Jacques and Gus-gus. And yes, why isn't there a frog with Tiana's outfit? That's the only complaint I can think of. :)

They should be able to make lots and lots of money, which would be wonderful for the brand. One more random thought. Cinderella has earrings without paying the $18 price, so she's technically $8 less than any other brand new AG doll. Nice!

I'm most excited about the separate outfits and animal companions - I plan to get them all! The dolls are perfection (AG killed it!) but i have other dolls on my wishlist who will definitely take priority, so i probably won't be getting them. But I'm excited to see what else AG does with this line!

Overall I’m very happy about this collection and most recently one of their best drops. Tiana is perfect. Initially,l I thought she looked a lot like Claudie but looking closer she doesn’t at all! They changed so many details which I’m happy about. I wish she had a frog or a firefly as a animal companion. I think Cinderella is perfect but I prefer a classic mold on her. I wonder if her wig is the same one Barbie has but with curly bangs. As for Ariel I thought she had the potential to look the cheapest and I think she does. I wish they used the Joss mold instead of Nanae. I love her red wig and her pink dress looks so cheap as well.

Yes - at first glance she looks like Claudie because of the face mold and hair but she truly is SO different. I'm so excited to get my Tiana! Cinderella's is definitely a different color than Barbie's, but the wigs do look very similar.

Thank you for uploading. We went to our store, and the first thing my daughter remarked when we opened Ariel was that she looked mean. So, it's not just stock photos. I guess if the eyebrows are placed a little further away from her nose, she looks normal/not mean. We still want to bring her home one day, but my daughter is going to acetone those brows. 😂

I thought the same thing about Tiana's yellow dress I would get it even if I had not gotten the doll. I want to also use it on Claudie. The frog would have been great. Ariel looks great but I have to Budget since I also want #127. My granddaughter wants Ariel so eventually she will be joining the family. Ariel's blue day dress is the better outfit. not planning to get Cinderella or any of her outfits. The Cinderella doll is really beautiful .

Kind of surprised Disney decided to do collabs with AG considering they have their own line of 18 inch dolls they sell at Target. Anyway I agree that I really love Tiana's commoner/waitress outfit and the inclusion of beignets. Can't go wrong with doll food.

I thought the same thing too! I suppose the Disney line at Target are moreso dolls inspired by the princesses rather than princesses themselves, and they also don't have eyes that open and shut. They sure are cute though.

Hi Evelyn, I'm afraid I have to respectfully disagree with you on a few things. While I do agree that the lower prices on the dolls and higher play value is amazing, and I greatly enjoy seeing more outfit variety, I feel like the fabrics still look too cheap for the price point. I also think Ariel should've been the joss mold, I feel like using the Nanea mold is a bit of whitewashing. I also think Cinderella would've been better suited to the classic mold. I think the only piece I may buy is Tiana's work dress but I'm still a bit hesitant due to the price. ❤ looking forward to your next video!

I do think satin tends to look super cheap.. so for that reason I definitely agree with you! I'm sure they are good quality-wise but the shiny satin cheapens the look for sure. The Joss mold would have been great for Ariel.. I can picture it now. I think they used the Nanea mold for the wide-eyed look that Ariel has.Since Nanea has a varied background - Hawaiian and Scottish/American, I think the mold was designed to be a bit more "racially ambiguous" rather than specific to AAPI dolls. That said, I think that AG has whitewashed several molds, including Jess and Sonali, which is extremely disappointing. I'll be reviewing Tiana and the work dress as soon as I get them so you'll be able to get a closer look at the work dress, soon!
