Tough one, Altitude Reserve is solid for sure with some lounge access. If you plan to travel quite often the unlimited lounge access will come in handy on the Amex Platinum also the Gold status on Hilton/Marriott hotels will be nice. There is also lots of travel insurance, car rental discounts and useful credits on the Amex Platinum. They also have tons of purchase and return protection for goods purchased using the Amex Platinum.

I looked for an hour on 20 different settings last night, and I only got the 125k. If it was 175k, I might abandon my current plan to finish off the FNC on the hilton business since I would get 175k MR for about the same spend. I would definitely cancel after a year and go after the CS plat after. Just because I know I would end up putting MR into investments. I'm all about value and overtime redeeming points into an investment platform has the highest return on spend value.

I think your IP address matters. the closer you are to a city to more likely you are to get the 175k offer I've noticed. I used to check so much before I got my 150k offer last december

I mentioned not to get it in your video then I went and got it ha, it has so much value for travel and status when you’re out for luxury outings. I hope to travel quite a bit in the future and this will deliver the goods with travel and priority status and lounges! I also got a bonus at work so I count it as an effective $0 card haha, I will see how it serves me and reevaluate it each year.

After the first year yes, I’d wait till the second AF posts to cancel though it gets refunded. Amex frowns upon any cancellations not following this.
