Green and clean is like a plexi it takes the volume pot out of the circuit and you just use the gain as a volume and the master for the overall you drive it HARD AND LOUD like a plexi it breaks up so unless you’re in a place you can CRANK it or using a DI/attenuator it will just sound polite and clean. I got mine with the 2x12 vintage 30’s oversized Marshall cab and it’s immense but again you need to drive the speakers to move air to get the full on sound which isn’t something that’s easy to do at home.

Great demo :) The old Marshalls usually had seperate high and low gain inputs, and you could sometimes jump the two inputs together with a patch cable for even more gain/volume. My way of thinking about it is that the green/orange/red modes on these amps are kinda like that. IMO most Marshalls respond better when you push the front end instead of cranking up the gain dial. Stay on the lower gain range and put an OD-808/SD-1 in ;)

You made med GAS even more for one of these. It just have all the tones for so litlle money compared to everything else. The feature set is also amazing with dual masters, two loops and MIDI. Don't even get me started on the footswitch. Also, I've always heard that it was the other way around with the voicings of OD1 and OD2.

Awesome Video, a lot of fun to watch! I ownd this amp too and everyday or every month i find some great New Tones. Push the Master more and lower the Volume, you will get a whole another Sound and a little less noise! This amp is also overgained, i never used it above Max 11.30 o clock for the high Gain settings :-) I love doing Cover with this amp! New sub rasmus 😃

Nice 👍 satriani head is ch3 and ch4 the same. And noisegates in all channels instead of reverb.
@rasmuslaurberghansen84843 жыл бұрын
So both ch3 and ch4 is as the ch3 on the JVM 410h? I can see how a noisegate might be more usefull, also because it is simpler, so having one knob for every channel might be okay, where I wish the 410h had more control for the reverb.
@metalnutella67683 жыл бұрын
yes ch3 is double. There is a vid on KZbin where he speaks about is head. I dont use the reverb, i take it from my board. I have found it better when the head also have a noisegate. When you play loud you need this. 🙂
@rasmuslaurberghansen84843 жыл бұрын
Yes totally agreed, though for studio use (which is mostly what I do) I prefer to have as many different sounds as possible and any gate or reverb is going to come from somewhere else than the amp anyway :)

@@rasmuslaurberghansen8484 ch3 & 4 are indeed voiced the same on the Satriani model, but there is a mid shift button, so you can turn channels 3&4 into the original voicing. it's also less compressed, probably due to less negative feedback in the poweramp. The clean channel is modeled after the 30th anniversary amp, and the crunch channel has a few circuits from the AFD100 in it(classic Marshall sound). There are also a ton of easy mods you can do to the original JVM that give it a more classic Marshall sound/feeling. In essence the JVM is a insanely modded 2203 (got that from the designer).

The guitar pickups are active pickups? They sound like active pickups to me, and that amp sound great with active pickups, at least mine only sounds good with active pickups.
@rasmuslaurberghansen84843 жыл бұрын
No they are passive SD Black winters. They have quite a lot of mids, which helps a lot.

When the amp is quieter than your talking, you're doing it wrong!!!!!
