Maybe try the "clear" zip ties - they'll let the light shine through and you won't notice them as much

Dang Bart, this 2nd gen version of these lights is absolutely amazing. I want them so bad. My only concern is the permanence of the installation. I would like to design a mounting system to allow me to remove them should I need to take my cage apart for any reason. Other than that, keep it Scary and I love watchin' your enthusiasm with every video you post. My videos are so lame compared to you, LOL !!! Stay safe!

Putting them on and off isn't hard, but would take ten minutes and some zip ties each time. If you're putting them off and on regularly, look at the shorty kit!

Thank you , I also fly a skymax paramotor that I disassemble for ease of transport and to be honest I will probably add a set of these lights to that rig as well, I really don't think it will add much time to put these lights on and off that rig.. the main controls can stay mounted to the frame and im thinking of using hose clamps for the hoop section so I can take them on and off without cutting zip ties each time ?? Just a thought, we will see how it works lol ? And please never think of your videos as lame :( they are a video record of your memories of a moment in your life... never lame my friend.. thank you for the kind words and watching ;)

Raptor Paramotor PPG lights are way brighter…….Wi-Fi controlled with your phone……and have unlimited possibilities for programming………… lights are directed forwards and backwards to be seen in all directions. And…….and………all that for $300 + shipping

I have not seen the Raptor Paramotor Lights so I'm not able to do a comparison but they sound great !! These lights are also Wi-Fi controlled and programmable if I ever get a chance to do a comparison between the two I will. Thank you

No, the raptor lights are not brighter, by far. They use an old style 5050 WS2812 led strip with only 60 per meter. The Sky Halo uses the latest, Chip-On-Board WS2812 LED's with 720 LED's per meter. They are the same LED chips, just a newer, more efficient version, with 12 TIMES as many LED's. Yes....12 times as many led's as the raptor lights. Assuming they are driven at the same current, as they should be, the Sky Halo puts out roughly 12x more light just on the face of it. I assure you any perceived difference in brightness is merely an effect of the video. The Sky Halo can also be seen from all directions, as evidenced in the video. Also, the tubular housing does NOT snag lines. Full disclosure, I played a part in developing the Sky Halo, and have years of experience with many different types of addressable led strips, and I again assure you they are significantly brighter than the Raptor lights. Making that judgment from a video other than a side-by-side comparison is nigh impossible.
