You roll a D6 if you shoot into melee. On 1-3 you hit your own 4-6 the enemy. You randomize if there’s several models on the side hit.

You only test risky action to stand up if units has been put down in it's own activation,i.e. trip over barbed wire or fallen from height - otherwise, it can stand up automatically, but has move range halved.

I backed this on Kickstarter. Looks great! For a completely new game, it had so much nostalgia: Mordheim, early WD art, proper GRIM grim dark. Very cool.

100% mate, couldnt agree more, formulating ideas for the board now as itll be such a big part of the setting with it creating the backdrop to the models (like when you see a great mordheim board backgrounding the warbands ther)

Awesome, finaly a good quality Trench Crusade BatRep. More pls :) Two issues though: Music needs to be much quiter pls, it was at times hard to understand. And also, what happened to the last Yeoman and the Mechanised Infantry, they were never deployed ?

The scenerio only says at the end of turn two deploy d3 models (or as we’d read it, not got it to hand) so as I rolled a 1 and it was random the others just didn’t show up Noted on the music (it’s always a bit of a guess due to each game may have avg levels quieter or louder speech, but I have a note of what it’s set to and will notch my base music level down! (Definately worth the feedback btw, it’s hard to know on my end due to it kinda being an avg of everyone’s not to my editting headphones)

at 39 mins you dashed out of combat, which you can't do. Retreat is like charge a thing you can do as a part of a move. Dash is limited to Standard Move.

Likely more; I don’t think there’s an upler limit but the game definately worked with this amount aswell SPOILERS BELOW I mean only 4 models went OOA during the game so not too many even with the amount of terrain about, ye no artillery with and we probably spent blood markers inefficiently but still it was hard to kill models!

I just got into the game, reading the rules as watching the game. Question: if Sniper Rifle is risky itself, you yake a test while aiming and than another for shooting? On the other hand, the priest has a built in +2 dice on ranged attacks Or did i miss something?

Batrep looks great, but I had to bail at 18 mins - the music is both very distracting and too loud in the mix. I’ll be back to check if future vids are different in this aspect, as the content seems great otherwise.

I think it will depend on the modelling: will definately seem inappropriate to not suffer some penalty if the trenches are sheer vertical sides (as opposed to having a firing step / ladders/ is more sloped Maybe even just a nominal penalty for moving up a trench specifically

At 11:45 you did that wrong. The sniper priest should have been rolling WAY more dice. +2 for Aim, +2 Ranged base, +1 for the sniper rifle, -1 for long range, -1 for cover. Total = +3. Roll 5 dice and keep the highest 2. Aslo, if it was a critical hit you add +2 dice to the injury roll because a sniper rifle has the keyword Critical. Roll 4 keep the highest 2. End result likely the same.

it seems to be between 3x3 and 4x4 with i believe all the scenarios on 3x3 last time (which id set up before reading the 4x5 in 1.5 scenarios) I think there's a statement (or at least I'm parroting it from somewhere) that its mostly down to EOs or just agreement as the scenarios mostly depend on the distance between forces being the same (which I think is a good way)

The play area makes a big difference with skirmish level games. One of the things that makes me hesitant about this is that I almost feel like I’d need to make a WWI trench warfare themed table to really appreciate the setting. I know I could just go 2D with cardboard cutouts to indicate trenches and shell craters but that doesn’t excite me at all.

It’s a good, intuitive skirmish: seems to have good activation mechanics and risk management and will definately be a solid beer and pretzels game at the minimum I think I probably need a bunch more games under the belt and with a bunch of terrain types/heights of terrain to give a complete answer: planning to do a day test run of a campaign in December so may be able to give propper feedback after
