Thanks for the walkthrough, Simon. Would be curious to hear how folks use the target angle, distance, and speed entities.

Thank you Michael, yes let's see what people are doing, great question!

I am thinking about using approach angle and distance to the MTR-1 to trigger presence-based night light functions for various smart lights in my house. I have multiple "approach" points to my kitchen on the 1st floor, and if I put the MTR-1 in a specific location there, I could trigger different night lights to activate in a sequence to help people navigate the 1st floor of my house at night.

Thanks for the review. I've been looking for a good mmWave sensor to put in my main living area that will trigger nightlights from specific approach areas to the kitchen in my house. I had been leaning toward the Aqara FP2 until I heard about the MTR-1 from Apollo and saw your video. Just bought one!

@@simonsayshomeassistant I just got it in and set up. I was going to try to get the plotly dashboard working with the code you pasted in your description, but it looks like there are 71 lines remaining in your code that I can't seem to access. Any ay you can post the rest of the code on here?

I'd like to use mmWave in my home, but I hear complaints about ghosting... the sensor reports people in the room hours after they've left. Have you had any issues with ghosting?
@simonsayshomeassistant5 ай бұрын
Hi Major, yes I have seen this as an issue on other MMWave sensors that I have tested in the past. I will play with this one some more and give you my feedback.

Is the only difference with MSR-1 the multi-target feature ?
@simonsayshomeassistant5 ай бұрын
Yes multi target and x,y zone targeting

I might be wrong, but on their live stream, Apollo Automation guys mentioned that MTR will have a possibility to add microphone, to be used with Home Assistant voice. A feature they are working on currently. So, MSR vs MTR - multi-target, yes, but possibly more expansion possibilities in the future.

@@AleksanderZaryczanski Hi Aleksander, yes, they are working on a microphone add on, this will be really great for local voice control! Multi target is pretty cool too!

Can you post a link to the code for the graph?

As a note the names changed. X begin is x1 and x end is x2. Same for y. Also the zout entities aren't present anymore.

The code is included in the video description, let me know if you can get it working.
