Hey Nick. What watch is best for the Sleep Apnea feature? Ultra 2 or the new Apple Watch!!!!!
@CPAPReviewsАй бұрын
hey bro, it's the same on both. the only thing i'd say is the standard apple watch is probably a bit nicer to sleep with as it's less bulky. Cheers

2 quick Qs. if have apple watch would i still need O2 ring? Haven't bought watch yet. also, Does your store deliver to USA?
@CPAPReviews20 күн бұрын
Hey mate, it really depends on what you're tracking. If it's sleep apnea tracking the yes the O2 ring is a must and we're just about to release our new SleepHQ O2 Ring pro which has a 1 second O2 sample rate (Apple watch has a sample rate of 30 minute - not suitable for Sleep Apnea). Yes we deliver to the U.S but you'll also be able to buy them locally through Sleeplay.com in a few weeks time

great video, In my sleep app it has REM and CORE what do the mean?
@CPAPReviewsАй бұрын
They are different sleep stages. 1. Wake Even though you might feel like you slept through the night, the truth is that we naturally experience several periods of wakefulness during sleep. The Apple Watch tracks these wake periods, helping you understand how often and how long you were awake. Brief moments of waking are normal, but extended wake periods might be an indicator of restlessness or poor sleep quality. 2. Core Sleep (Light Sleep) Core sleep, often called “light sleep,” makes up a significant part of your night. It’s an essential stage where your body begins the process of rest and recovery. During core sleep, your brain consolidates memories, processes information, and prepares your body for the deeper stages of sleep. It’s easier to wake up from this stage, so this is where most people spend time before transitioning into deeper sleep. 3. REM Sleep (Rapid Eye Movement) REM is the stage where dreaming occurs and is crucial for cognitive functions like memory, learning, and creativity. During REM, your brain becomes more active, while your muscles are temporarily paralyzed to prevent acting out your dreams. Apple Watch tracks the frequency and length of REM sleep each night, giving insight into your mental recovery. Lack of REM sleep can lead to difficulties with memory retention and emotional balance. 4. Deep Sleep Deep sleep is the most restorative stage of sleep and is often referred to as "slow-wave sleep." During this phase, your body repairs muscles and tissues, strengthens the immune system, and regenerates cells. It’s the hardest stage to wake from, and it leaves you feeling refreshed. Apple Watch's ability to track deep sleep is vital for understanding how well your body is recovering physically.

I was diagnosed in the hospital last year that I suffer from sleep apnea and I have been sleeping with the watch for 32 days and it has never notified me that I am suffering from this. My breathing also seems to be normal according to the Apple watch, while this is not the case. So the Apple watch does not measure sleep apnea correctly nor does it measure my breathing correctly..
@CPAPReviews27 күн бұрын
’ve gone through Apple's clinical study, which has been peer-reviewed, and it's clear that Apple is heavily focused on minimizing false positives. Because of this, they’ve set the sensitivity very low-too low in my opinion. It’s unclear what they define as a "elevated level" of breathing disturbances (my guess is over 15 disturbances per hour), but from their own data, they claim a 90% accuracy rate for identifying severe OSA. However, when it comes to moderate OSA, that accuracy drops significantly to around 40%. It’s important to note that this isn’t a diagnostic tool-it’s designed more as a screening device for those who are at a high risk of sleep apnea. Overall the screen the tool is very impressive and if they increased the sensitivity it would be awesome. Cheers

I had sleep apnea shown on my iPhone health page with notification as this info was not available on my watch. I had the serie 8. Now I changed to the new serie 10 and ... I can not fi d anything in the health app in regard of sleep apnea. I have iOS 18.1 on my iPhone 11 and watchOS 11 on my serie 10. Living in Belgium. I do have functional blood oxy on my watch. Why don't I see any indication anywhere in the health app in regard apnea ?.?
@CPAPReviewsАй бұрын
Hey bro, previously there has been no info about Sleep Apnea in the Apple Health App. Perhaps you were using a different app. According to Apple the new feature is available in Belgium so perhaps you just need to do some troubleshooting. I'd try unpairing your old watch (series 8) and the series 10 from your iPhone and then repairing just the series 10. Cheers

I did changed the language and region before each try but that also didn't help. There is no indication when I go to the health app ,browse, respiratory, ... I see blood oxy, respiratory rate, past ud, past 30d, No data Available, ... then learn about respiratory rate, learn about blood oxy levels, what it means if your ardiofit ess is low. And that's it, nothing else to see. ???
