Installing a fan is an ABSOLUTE must. On a completely standard Gorgon, my son melted the stock motor after just two batteries.
@gillian91782 ай бұрын
Arrma are killing it with these new 2wd trucks based off of the Gorgon plarform. Easiest way to fit the body on & see what you are doing re lining body pins up & sliding the body retainer clip over, is to sit the body on its roof then lower the chassis onto the upturned body. Everything lines up so easy when you can see what you are doing upside down.

So true. A lot of innovation happening on every release of this chassis.

Nice think they would have made the motor hole alittle bigger and easier to put different size cans in it knowing people are gonna wanna upgrade it to brushless.....

I'm glad to see they're expanding on the Gorgon chassis design. The Gorgon is probably the cheapest car I own, but my most driven basher once I took it 3s. Tons of fun to be had with these chassis'.
@toolbaggers2 ай бұрын
Just buy a generic 40mm fan online or at your local computer store for less than $5. There aren't too many makers of the actual fans. RC companies just rebrand and some of the fancier ones are just installed in a mainly cosmetic aluminum case. Even for the expensive RC fans, the blades are still plastic (again with the rebranding) and it's the blades that break. The only caveat is you need to pay attention and read the specs for operating voltage, RPM and the connector.

I have just about everything that arrma makes..and I just got this… and I agree with you this is a vast improvement over my arrma granite 2x4 .. the way it drives is much more balanced 50/50 someone at arrma did some good engineering! Good job arrma

My next purchase for when my grandkids show up and want an RC to play with. I'm not handing a 6 year old one of my $500 rigs. This looks perfect for the little ones without trigger control yet. TY for making my decision easy. 👍

In your opinion between the Vortex and the Fury, witch is the better bang for your buck?
@RCReviewChannel2 ай бұрын
I think the best is the Gorgon!!! Fury is a close second.
@AnySumptionBanter2 ай бұрын
I've heard that for a basher like this, it would be ideal if the chassis slapped the ground before the shocks bottom since shock towers are a weak area... thoughts? this reminds me of the gorgon... is it same platform basically with just a diff body?
@RCReviewChannel2 ай бұрын
For some heavy rigs with weaker shocks and towers, ground slapping can take the shock for less damage. I don't like it though as it sounds awful and abuses the chassis. For this light vehicle and big shocks, i think it's all good without chassis slap. Yes this is the same as the Gorgon and the new Fury. Shared chassis and I'll compare them all soon.

I haven't seen a single one of you rc youtubers give any of the Srrma Series 2wd new vehicles anything negative, with the only one being the Gorgon weak body which is prone to crack easily.
@RCReviewChannel2 ай бұрын
True KZbinrs are a little too excited positive. If you watched my video, I said the negatives were: - 2-in-1 receiver esc is bad for options and upgrades - 2s max battery is very bad - motor has no ventilation and can get very hot - hard to fit a 540 brushless motor - rear tires need more grip and those NIMH batteries need to go!

Uuuuuuummmmm 🤔 Gee, Calling this a vorteks isn't confusing AT ALL. They already have a vorteks (2wd and 4wd) same as the granite. How about name it something else and not just use a preexisting body. I'm actually a huge arrma fan... But this lineup does nothing for me.
