I can't say enough about how good your videos are. It's great to hear a veteran artist remind us that it is ok to fail and not frustrate over every "wrong" line a sketch. Your art is great, the process is well presented and relatable. Most important of all, the process of discovery comes across as fun and exciting. Please keep up the videos. They'll are very well received! cheers

I like how you've added the finished sketch in the corner. It really helped me understand the process vs. the outcome

I'm just getting back into drawing, but this is one of my favorite drawing exercises: drawing random shapes and figures on the paper with a marker, and then going over it with a fine tip to turn the "blob" into something.

I started using the layering with the soft shading and changing directions with the pencil and it's working out well

Hey Bobby, what Sketchbook do you use for drawing in general? Is it always the Bienfang one we can find in your amazon list? Asking because I LOVE this tan-coloured papers... Btw amazing video as always, keep up the good work
@bobbyrebholz218317 күн бұрын
Hey man! I hardly ever use Bienfang unless it's for industrial design. For the videos, I'm using Moleskine!

@@bobbyrebholz2183 thx for the fast answer... definitely gonna buy this! This question is a little random, but anyways... do you think nowadays character/creature/World Designers generally need to be able to use Softwares like Blender or Adobe to digitalize their drawn work?

The sure thing is that if I'm thinking I will never draw anything. I must be empty to create something out of no exception at all, when I'm empty I do the best out of it with or most of the time without any concept at all ! Just I see how slowly my hand is creating something really cool. The key is the here and now.

Thank you for the video!! You say many things I need to really start putting into practice to find more joy in art (even though I do it every day haha) In past video you had said you draw instead of drink coffee first thing in the morning. I want to do this too!

Hi! I absolutely love your sketching tutorials, but I’ve been having some trouble with shading and getting that realistic depth in my drawings. Would you be able to make a video focusing specifically on shading techniques? I’d really appreciate some tips and guidance! Thanks for all the great content!

Flanic dweller. (Flame and panic (or toxic)cuz it looks like it came from a wasteland and that creature has a whole hive and many of his kind and usually lives im places either volcanic or very toxic like some red and green (or flesh color) merged kinda boiling liquid that burns a lot and maybe there would be some ore that wouldnt be affected by it,so in that biome that dweller or mutated blob could live in a biome toxic wasteland or volcanic enviroment but with some other stuff because the red color can relate to flammable stuff.)
