I love underwater bases. We had on on Lost Island. We had 4 ocean platforms connected by bridges and protected by ss glass walls that went deep down into the ocean. The thing was huge. Like 300 by 300 meters and 50 or more meters deep. We breed mosas, dunkleosteus, megalodons, pleisiosaurs and Tusotuthis there. Somehow eels always spawned inside our base, even though it was covered from all sides by walls or vacuum compartments. We had a underwater living compartment below the breeding area.

I took down an alpha Rex on day 7 with an imprinted pteranodon and a lot of patience. Using a 4x note I can now sit in my thatch hut basking in the glory of being level 91

Hiding the frame does make it look better, but once you get smithy's forges fabricators etc down there it will get noticed easily, still cool it doesn't need power tho :)

@@nathanrossiter122 it's not an ini, you need to open the console (same one as gamma) then put in the command, there are a bunch of others as well that you can put in to make the game look a lot like an INI without having an INI

This was how it worked in Structures Plus Mod. So I'm not surprised that they did it this way in ASA since the creator of S+ is the one whos in charge of structure development for ASA

I’ll never forget what they took from us replacing those gorgeous industrial sub bases from the artwork with the most ugly airtight cubes. If anybody wants an idea for a mod, create something like those OG art structures

Honestly I just learned this despite playing since launch. So cool. I’ve always wanted an underwater bases and not needing as much element is sick. I’m definitely doing this in Gen 1 or 2 maybe even at the lake in Aberration.

Back when ASE was still a thing, I used to build a huge underwater base and since I was on a rp server I made it like a Marine research base. Problem was, I wanted an Elevator going from the top of the ocean all the way down into the base. And everytime I tried it would just get flooded lol I'm gonna have to try and do another tek underwater base. Just gotta find the right location.

I did build a huge underwater base in ARK SE in a private server....it was fun, but looked messy, becuse you can't hide those hatchframes....was breeding rhinos, gigas, sharks, deinos, mantis, rock drakes...basically I was just breeding there, but looked cool....now it is insanely easy to build that :P

I always loved building in underwater with the moonpools. I've actually been grinding away to hopefully unlock tek moonpools soon on the server I play on. It was easy to farm element on Fjordur so it made for creating moonpools simple later on. I love how they revamped this, and am looking forward more than ever to build another underwater base

Holy crap!! This is so nice!! I’m literally in an underwater cave at the bottom of the ocean. Like really deep! I feel like a mermaid. This would be really nice for my way of living.

I'm a PvE player... due to my work schedule being 13 hour days and not being able to devote the required time to PvP. This *definitely* piques my interest though... as it opens up a lot of beach areas that were hard to build on. Connecting them to the land to allow for easier access, for both your PC and tames, will be interesting though.

Build a Wood Base above it or Close, they see you go to it, but not swim down and think they found your base, they destroy or attack it and you have everything hid underwater,

I think the only question I have is at what level is each unlocked? I'm still somewhat of a newbie, but as I understand, Tek is more of a late game thing so needing a high level character or maybe defeating some bosses, but how early do these chambers unlock?

We had a massive breeding ground in 2018 in a server , had to , was forced underwater by mega clans who wanted blood and to just destroy us , they tried to raid us with squids but failed because we had higher tier squids and water takes

If you want to live underwater on a pvp server, be my guest. Hp stats are so unbelievably busted, basilios and tusos are hitting nearly 100k ez. Turtles are wild taming at 8k. Actual crazy stats. Old ark, 3 k was a good wild turtle.

Ive lived in hard underwater for over a year in small tribes with 3 turret wall, moved to ice cave + easy underwater later and alos had it for over a year. No tek gen is nice , but beside that building underwater wasnt that bad. Do not put this randomly underwater unless you want to lose your loot. Build 1 of the 2 underwater cave or a pearl cave its muuuuuuuch safer

Looks like they found a way to make the Shastasaurus saddle work & maybe it worked well, so they were able to implement this change into underwater tek base code 🤷
