feedback about them speakers. i`ve got your advice and put on my bike same ones in February 2023 done few hours of around 80% of the power in 10 short drives around clean crisp sound just wow ( amplified to 250rms each speaker ) one of them already dead last weekend. i think it is better to pay tripple the price and get quality over this.

@six0twodot1dotlove3 жыл бұрын
Yes you just get an amp that has high and low inputs or use a high-low converter. You keep all stock controls and radio no problem.
@Hidavi3 жыл бұрын
@@six0twodot1dotlove thanks! any specific recommendation?
@RidingWithRho3 жыл бұрын
Whenever you do get a new head unit, connect a PAC and you’ll still maintain handlebar controls.
@six0twodot1dotlove3 жыл бұрын
Hidavi. You can use any amp. I personally used a pioneer 1200 4 channel but i mounted it in my left saddle bag but i have 10 speakers total on my Vaquero. The reason i used pioneer is the amp is designed to run either way. They give you the rca adapters with the amp. But any amp will work just get a goid high low converter. If your looking to save money dual makes an amp 1000 watts you can buy them at Walmart or autozone for about a hundred dollars

Speakers and amp held up great in rain. Rode in a bad storm for about 3 hours…speakers and amp were fine. The radio was another story…but the speakers are still kickin.
@bullitt79 Жыл бұрын
Just curious...could that Amp and speakers be installed with the stock head unit for decent results? Or does the stock head unit have to be replaced?

The short answer is yes you can. I’ve seen others do it BUT I’m not sure of sound quality and I’m not sure how to do it. 😬

How happy are you with the speakers and amp now that you been with them for a while I am about to redo my system and was going to get the ds18 or the prv And are they waterproof
@RidingWithRho3 жыл бұрын
Still love them. Hit some very heavy rainstorms recently. The speakers and amp are still good (technically not marine grade but they held up in the rain). Ironically, the marine grade Kenwood radio went into protect mode in the rain. So I had to reset it and ended up putting a plastic sheet (roof) over my inners before putting the fairing back on.

Do you think this voice amp would be good for my two ds18 6.5 speakers and two ds18 tweaters? Or would I need a stronger amp?
@RidingWithRho3 жыл бұрын
I sooo want to tell you the right answer but this is a question that I don’t 100% know the answer to lol. The answer to your question would be based on the RMS of the speakers/tweeters you’re using. This amp has an RMS of 4 x 80W (4 ohms) and 4 x 120W (2 ohms). I would imagine if the RMS of the speakers are lower than the RMS of the amp, then this amp will work. But don’t quote me. I’m sure someone will read this and correct me if I’m wrong 😊 The folks in the Custom Vaquero Nation FB group will know best. Check them out 🤗
