Jay, thanks for this video. I just got my first Denafrips DAC the new Ares 12-1 …and I’m still stunned at what it’s doing to my music 🥲 Advanced Paris ..I’ve got the catalog from the last Toronto Audiofest..their gear is amazing. Oh, the first time I actually got to see the Esoteric stuff up close (American Sound) ..love and heart break all at once. Great video 👍👍

PMC and Amphion are typical manufactures for professional audio equipment (studio monitors). It's great to see Esoteric products match up well with those brands. I'm a huge fan of Esoteric by the way.

Very nice presentation. Advance Paris is a very versatile amp but unfortunately very expensive. I definitely want such an amplifier. In another life maybe.
@gmkrtchyan2 ай бұрын
Is €2k really considered to be very expensive for such an amp?

@gmkrtchyan 2000k is the price of a car. And I wonder what this machine does besides collect dust on it. 2000k madness

It is true, a low crossover point is better for a natural sound to the ears. I heard a pair of older Dynaudio speakers that have done that and it's apperent. Not all Dynaudios do this configuration, why not??
@Jayiyagi9 ай бұрын
from what I know it is a trade off. You can choose to cross-over lower if the tweeter is capable and waveguides and such helps BUT just because it can play lower doesn't mean that it is the most optimal range for the tweeter. Every tweeter has an optimal range it operates on before distortion numbers rise higher, ideally you want to cross over 2 octaves before or after that point, so you either have to choose higher or lower crossover point based on other parameters.

The simple circuit is the best..........anyway the simple circuit does the least damage if well designed ...about power supply I agree with what HIRO said.

Feels like a long infomercial! Love audio gear but without tough questions from you directly, I don't see the point. Sorry for the blunt feedback. As far as tough questions go, I'd love to know how come reputable audio gear manufacturers can't seem to be able to build reliable apps for instance?

Jay your channel is becoming too commercial, please go back to the roots
@Jayiyagi9 ай бұрын
This is a show coverage presentation showcasing new and upcoming products. When I go to these shows, I get insight by talking to manufacturers and reps. I thought it would provide value to film it at a high level for my viewers. I understand how it can come across as a commercial. Will be back to reviewing soon after these show coverages :) thank you

What a lot of crap, big boards sone better. The bigger the board the longer the track the more parasitic components are added. Components have no timbre also not the nonsense non-engineers speak.
