@@AdventureTimeRC The people that have already concluded Axial SCX24 is toy grade in comparison to other brands and certainly compared to a custom build are not going to be lured back by the likes of this thing.

I, like you think they need to switch the focus on certain parts of these rigs. Lights... totally pointless, fancy accessories also pointless.. Better servo and motor outta the box much more important. Better quality remote where the power button doesnt break within 3 days.. I just ordered the Injora IR-60 24th Toyota body that schools the stuff Axial is coming out with for their rigs. To me, Axial is so far behind in the 24th scene since the Ax24 drop that its not even worth buying anything from them anymore and just make your own as you just need to upgrade EVERYTHING anyways as the stock parts seriously blow. Anyways Brent, love the course and it was an awesome review :) PEACE!

But how much better motor or servo, and at what cost? That is the quandary. The rest of these trucks specs are designed based on low torque. I would be happy if all Axial sold was licensed bodies and accessories, but nothing with electricity or moving parts involved.

@@shockman8014 A simple upgrade to a Emax digital servo and a 50can 66T would be amazing for most as there are a lot of folk who dont go brushless but want that bit extra power outta each. Those two things are very cheap but provide a pretty large increase in performance and quality of life with the lil rigs.

I agree. People that buy this expecting to use it as is is toy shopping. People that buy it to modify in an effort to increase the capability have better trails to go down. The body will be sold separately.

Hey Brent, it’s a nice looking addition to the fleet. My only small gripe would be that Axial know the servo and motor aren’t up to the job, yet don’t listen to customer’s, don’t revise the component(s) that they know aren’t performing, as they revise their range of RC. They had every opportunity in this model to continuously improve there products 😊😊best wishes to you all 🖐️😎😉

The axles and driveshafts. and certainly the gear boxes were not built for go juice. The only usable thing I see is a licensed body, a light kit and maybe the rails. And I personally don't care for the Lexus body which will be sold separately if I change my mind.

Great video Brent. Im looking forward to seeing the mods you do to this one. Im up to 8 scx24's and as long as all they change is the body I dont know if I will buy any more. Especially considering the FCX24 and Ascent 18 absolutely kick the ever loving crap out of the scx24 for the same or less money. Same tired platform with another body, i totally get wanting to collect them all though.

@ The Lexus is almost 6mm shorter in wheel base. I looked at the link sets to see if it would work, but the numbers are pretty far off. It’s still fun to build on though. Great video!

This one did not even catch my eye, not a fan of the body on it and being the same base SCX24 I had no interest in it. It is good they are venturing outside the norm a bit but like you said with the same generic chassis under it was not enough. I am sure plenty of folks are excited for the new release and I am sure they will do well with but they do have to makes some changes to keep them current.
