This is one of my favorite cops of 2018 -- the New Balance 990 V4. It's the perfect balance between stability, cushioning, and flexibility. It just works flawlessly! Definitely understand why Steve Jobs loved this series of sneakers from New Balance.

I've owned my V3 for over 4 years. Even though the cushioning has obviously reduced over time, I can still wear them all day without discomfort. Love New Balance shoes.

I agree. No foot fatigue. Boost is softer but will ache later on because your feet are constantly making micro adjustments in each step for stability which will cause foot fatigue. 990's are already balanced for all day wear no ache.

YES YES YES! For work, working out, walking at the mall, running. This is a timeless silhouette, so comfortable, recommended by podiatrists and orthopedics. No pain, just walking air for models on the runway and dads in Ohio. This shoe is the absolute best, truth.

I totally understand what you are saying, overly cushioning shoes don't work for me, I also prefer a balance between firmness and cushioning!

I love Adidas, Nike, and Jordans, but New Balance will always be some of the classics. The 995 and 574 are my favorite New Balance models.

Yes, the 990V4 is a certified DAD shoe!! The comfort is real in whatever iteration. Come to think about it, the DAD shoes of decades earlier were created for comfort. The reason behind is that our DAD's are working all day and they need to rely on a comfortable shoe that can get them by every day. Forward to now and the notion of the DAD shoe has been commercialized by mere aesthetics. Some of the newer iterations may perhaps be comfortable like the 700 since it has BOOST but most don't deserve the dad monicker because they lack the element that makes the shoes a "dad" shoe. On the other hand, NB has always been a great shoe company and the testament to these are the countless numbers of NB shoes sold in the US and EU alone prior to the sneaker evolution as of late. One of my most fave shoes is an NB which has no hype and has low reviews even. But to each his own feet right. And you are very right sir when you said a good pair is something that just works. It works sans the tech or visual. It just does. #7to1Squad!

You have to mention Asia, as well, especially Japan. Japan and Europe were keeping the NB brand alive for years. Some of the toughest collabs and colorways were came from Japan and Europe.

Agree! I also get foot fatigue with Ultraboosts. So i prefer a firmer but still comfortable midsole. Yeah hopefully New balance Philippines will have more made in the USA pairs like this

I totally agree … I am a big big fan of ultraboost from its version one and I never tried any other shoes because of its cushioning… but later realised cushioning and feet fatigue is two different things … when I first used NB 1080 I was not much impressed because it didn’t have cushioning of ultra boost but later wearing it for whole day much to my surprise I did t have feet fatigue… somehow NB have cracked the puzzle of balancing… I have not used 990 but I have used 1080 I can say it’s comfortable over UB

Yes!!! Finally!!! This is my next purchase. Sana lang di pa siya overpriced kasi hype siya ngayon lalo na may dad shoe trend. I’ve been hearing a lot of good things about this. Naalala ko, nag comment ako dun sa recent upload mo sir(forgot which one) and I ask you kung ano ang pantapat ng nike sa ultraboost in terms of comfort base sa mga natry mo ng suotin. Although di ito nike but matagal nang nasa watchlist ko tong 990v4 so to hear it from you na 990v4>ub is sobrang helpful na. Keep it up sir, dahil madami kaming nangangailangan ng mga sneaker reviews bago bumili ng sneakers.

Iba talaga sir Yung gawang New balance. Di Lang Sha comfort but the support and stability na binibigay nya and yes I support you sir on your statement hehehe. Worth it! IMO, aesthetically, it doesn't hold a candle to the Ultraboosts unless you're into the whole dad shoe vibe. Hahaha. I do agree though that too much cushioning can be a bad thing. Even Foamer Simpson recommended the 990s. I'm curious as to how comfy these are.😊 Great content as usual!😁

I like NB but never had any. But I dont like the term dad shoe it sounds very unappealing, even now if my step dad likes something that I do I instantly dont like it. People should keep it at shoes, kicks or sneakers or name brand. I do wish more shoes were from US tho 😕.

Dad shoes before were uncool and since its made for comfort are directed towards marketing it to those who are heavy set "dads and grandpas" and requires more cushioning. People who could care less with fashion. For the fashion forward heavy people boost and vapormaxes seems more reasonable. I remember a friend told me back when onitsuka 66 were so popular but he couldnt wear them bec hes 5'8 and weighs 200 lbs. Hes feet started aching after an 1 hour of walking in them. When boost came out he started wearing those instead.
