Awesome. I would like to hear more about your thoughts on this edition and how play with the group goes. Cheers!

It is my favorite version of D&D, I like how as you get more experienced as a DM you can expand the rules a bit. My favorite sections are the Experience chapter (it explains how to make your own rewards pretty well imo) and the war machine rules for simple mass combat (just figure out the modifiers and chuck those dice). I also really enjoying doing domain play and moving armies around to take out those pesky humanoid gangs stinking up all that prime real estate. Good luck in your gaming!

Such a great version of D&D, the only one I've bothered to play for more than 3 sessions in the past 25 years.

Cool! I’m still considering buying it. Let’s see. Maybe in the future. Enjoy!

Yeah, whenever I get an urge to play actual D&D I go back to BECMI, specifically the Rules Cyclopedia. I had most of the Gazeteers. I was really happy to see them fleshing out the world of Mystara, even if it did come after I had largely moved on from the game.

It's my favorite version of D&D, but it's still D&D.

What edition is this
@easygurps4 ай бұрын
@@Leverquin it's a compilation of ALL the original D&D sets often referred to as B/X or more accurately BECMI. Includes Basic (levels 1-4), Expert (level 5-9), Companion (10-20), Master(21-36) and Immortal (God mode) boxed sets.

Great stuff bud :-) I got the rules cyclopedia not to long ago and several AD&D books as well. Different games for different feels :-) my main games are AD&D and Shaodowdark. Rules Cyclopedia is great and super cheap. Got all on POD as well but I play solo.

That's a great collection you got it sounds like

I can't stomach the POD paper quality and smell. Certainly takes away from the experience. Still remember what GURPS Aztecs printed with soy ink smelled like back in the 1990s.

What is BECMI

Old TSR d&d rulesets were printed in sets, ‘Basic’, ‘Expert’, ‘Companion’, ‘Masters’ and ‘Immortal’, BECMI for short. Printed around 1983-86.
