They're cashing out. They know they dont have the resources and team to upkeep this game with the frequent updates required for it to maintain a healthy playerbase. The writing has been on the wall. It will eventually have to be shut down. Their ship is sinking and they dont have what's required to fix it, so they might as well just loot as hard as they can and jump ship. Which to them means heading over to the fresh untapped Steam audience and sucking draining from their wallets as quick as possible with their new super aggressive monetization designed specifically for the Steam players. They aint trying to revive the game. They are trying to recoup costs before they shut it down.

It doesn't seem undodgeable, sure it's hard to time. The parts where there are multiple explosion at once I can see how it can be undodgeable. This game needs some real difficulty anyway, why do players get to just infinity revive feels worse than actual punishment. Game gets boring if everyone tries to brute force everything rather than using a build that would aid in fighting the thing you are trying to kill. There isn't "one build" unless you really only care about pure offense. I will say the game isn't really dauntless anymore but the game isn't bad

​@@null6209how long have you played the game since awakening was released? I played for hours last night with friends and had a really good time. The weapons are better than they were before; way better. This is the best pike experience I've had, the shock hammer has the coolest shock ball effects, the torgadoro ability with molten edict does actual damage, twin suns gives a welcome dodge that makes them more fun to play for me (I hate repeaters), the golden claw interrupt is great, etc. If you think about it, we only played a handful of weapons before the update. Having all of them as transmogs actually brings more "versatility" in that we can actually have them on our character cosmetically, when before they would just sit unused in our inventory. Game stability needs to be fixed; big time, and I mean big time. But, it's only been a little over two weeks. They don't have a huge staff, and I'm sure they have other responsibilities in life; including the need for sleep. And even their former partners have turned on them when they need encouragement and constructive criticism to give them a better sense of the direction they need to go to fix this stuff. If this game dies, it will be the fault of impatient people who can't cope with change.

I feel like the issue that the devs should have addressed is that the game really isn’t very new player friendly and most of the skins in the shop look awful instead of reworking progression again. It’s easier to get new players to spend money by making the game approachable than it is to get experienced players to spend money by removing their progress since generally people don’t pay to be unhappy. If the devs focused on new players and skins that people wanted to buy then they’d have more money to spend on making updates like this not be two years of waiting for a single behemoth who’s every attack is the exact same projectile that you’ll see a riftstalker use but resized accompanied by removing a bunch of stuff and adding random stats to a handful of weapon and weapon skins while removing every other weapon.

The first time I fought Crudge it took me 20 minutes, I froze them as they flew into the sky and they remained out of bounds for 2 minutes (while attacking me with Orb Portal attacks) until they did the sky attack again and re-entered the arena. My game also crashed when it was on last 1/4th of health. Thankfully, as the game makes me wait 30 seconds to play it every time I revive and try to heal in a futile attempt to not get one shot by an attack that requires you to stop playing the game and run in a circle for 5 seconds, twice every 30 seconds (which is just back up after every revive anyway and it's the first move it does for some reason), I was able to take my time to get mad at Crudge in discord and thankfully the game is so dead that there wasn't exactly a line of people you had to wait behind to talk to a developer it's kind of just them in there now. I will say, the developer did actually hear me out and actually question my issues with the design and not just say "Okay I hear you" and ignore me. For what it's worth after the 4th time fighting Crudge I was able to clear it in 63 seconds with the Fire Reckless Leap pike and I actually found the fight decently fun when it does a move other than carpet bombing your ass on cooldown. GG's though you'll be missed Trevor glad you gave the game a real try instead of just continuing the pokemon grind without giving us a second thought, you certainly didn't have to come back so I'm grateful you lended the game some attention and it's a shame it turned out this way.

You can dodge to the sides with them, but they're just bugged (big surprise). If you weapon swap too much or weapon swap at all, it will just randomly break and force repeaters, only them, to dodge foward.

Last time I played this game, I was grinding the Silver Sword for days during Christmas break. Now, it's a starter weapon that everyone gets. Looked at the store, weapons and the like in there. NoThe only redeeming factor is behemoth itself but everything else is god awful 1: removing the crafting weapon the entire core gameplay loops what make monster hunter a monster hunter 2: punishing players who even slightly changing the cells to different options to make it more restrictive 3: any cell that aren't max is worthless 4: weapons variety has devalue on one weapon of each type and one element of each type if you want use a elemental weapon against any elemental behemoth you force to use a different weapon class that you aren't familiar with.. If you want elemental type of your favourite weapons? Tough luck you needs to pay with real money for 5: resetting entire progressive system that everything grinds for up to this point which is insulting to pre-existing player 6: upgrading weapons or armor required more resources then ever before and armor specifically it required to used crystals to upgraded but where you get the crystals you may ask? You rather end up grinding for eternity or pay more real money for 7: what in the actual hell that these developers thinking for? Is this even a good idea?

I dont know what they've done with the game, they change to a new unreal engine. Before awakening i was able to play that game with stable 40-50 fps (on low) now its more of a slide show (at 20 best 25)

the whole issue wasn't the one shot capability of this behemoth but because the behemoth was released after awakening if this was pre-awakening, people would never bat an eye and would treat this as another NEW content would probably wait for a few days and everyone would memorize behemoth attack habits and when to dodge.

Appreciate all your coverage of this game over the years. Even though Reforged was generally a poorly received update, I enjoyed it quite a bit and put several hundred hours into the game during it's lifespan. Sucks to see the game I enjoyed become unplayable even if I didn't have a lot left to grind for anyway. I jumped ship to God Eater and I've been having some fun with it despite the similarly low playercount. Going to be giving Wilds a try when it releases as well.

Disagree with these comments. People didn’t stick it through and lost out. I’ve never felt stronger or finished escas as fast as with this update. While I would like more build diversity, the focus is on synergy between weapons now. With the proper synergy and knowledge of how to use both weapons, I am killing escas bosses in less than 12 seconds even regardless of party members. With the new resources they added to cores I can basically level a weapon from zero to thirty in less than an hour and to 60 in less than two days. Weapon gameplay is far better than reforged and the new updates make dominating more enjoyable. Don’t think I can go back ever…I’m too far gone lmao. 💪

Play POE 2, this game is dead from like 2 years ago. I loved it then, still now but nothing have changed.
