The annoying thing is that the channels I regularly watch & am subbed to/clicked bell for don't pop up in my notifications anymore. Whereas if I search for one random video (e.g. Blair White's no longer vegan vid), YT will continue suggesting other similar videos + additional content from the channel with the random vid. It's so frustrating!

As a viewer, I think all the videos should be in subscription feed and that everything else can be up for debate. Like if I'm subscribed without hitting the bell, I should still get the video in my feed so I can see it when I check but otherwise I don't need a notif to know exactly when you do post or like, when you post a poll or any community stuff cause that's extra, but if I subscribe and bell and all that, then do it. I feel like this is just KZbin doing that thing social media has been doing lately where they try to tell us what we want and how we want it without actually listening to people being like "yeah it would be great if we could just customize it ourselves or like you actually consistently talked to creators"

On the subscription issue: KZbin should'nt be determining which videos we do and don't see. Instead we should have extensive (tags-based) filters to filter out types of content we don't want (arachnophobes and trypophobes rejoice) and subscription filters that allow us to be sucscribed to a channel but only see notifications of their content that we follow (if I were only to be interested in The Opposition on CC and nothing else, for example). Better for creators, better for consumers.

I wish KZbin wouldn't do things this way. I sub to tons of channels and want to watch most things the channels I'm subscribed to post. I see things days late as things stand now. I can't go around clicking the bell to every channel I feel this way for because my phone would never stop going off. I can't take that many notifications on my devices. I just want to look at my feed (subscription or home) and see things I have told KZbin I want to see. My recommended is always full of stuff I don't care about. Sometimes it's applicable and I am an adventurous viewer but when it comes at the cost of things I already know I enjoy, creators I care about, losing out on revenue because I just haven't seen that they've posted, its just stupid. If I have subbed I just want to know. There shouldn't be so many steps to this process.

i agree that youtube needs to do a better job of this. But in the meantime, you can select Subscriptions in the menu bar near the top left (under Home and Trending) from the main youtube homepage. That will show you, in chronological order, all the videos from the youtubers you've subscribed to.

Confirmed. You and I have completely opposite taste in ice cream. NadaMoo is your favorite brand, and I think it's the worst out the vegan ice cream brands. Out of these two, I thought the Half Baked was good, but WAY too rich with too many chunks and not enough ice cream. But I think the Cinnamon Bun is HEAVEN- I could eat the whole pint! I guess I just have to try all the ice creams you don't like haha!

Thanks for sharing your thoughts on the subscription feed change! From my perspective, one negative thing about this change as a consumer, is that is is requiring me to have several notifications form KZbin which sucks on so many different levels. I'm trying to reduce my phone distractions, this forces me to have more. More distractions in order to catch my favorite content provider's video on minimalism, productivity, and reducing distractions? That's absurd. Additionally, something I have seen from other apps is as I get more notifications, the notification types become greater. So I'll start seeing notifications for suggested videos instead of only ones I subscribe to. Facebook has done this big time - first it was only notifications of events happening to your page, then friend reactions, now I get notified when some random girl changes her cover photo. It's a slippery slope, which would be fine if KZbin was careful, but they look reckless and greedy in this case.

I think the Ben & Jerry’s Coconut 7 Layer Cookie is the best. If you like Girl Scout Samoa cookies you’ll love ❤️ ❤️ ❤️ this. The Caramel Almond Brittle is also fantastic. After that I’d stick in The NadaMoo Mint Chip then back to Ben & Jerry’s for Cherry Garcia. I’d totally sit down with a pint and a spoon with any of these. So good!

People are really misunderstanding the subscription feed issues. A lot of superstitious nonsense, like there always is with anything related to the algorithm. The bell just pushes a notification to your email or phone whenever someone you've belled uploads. If you click on your subscription page, you will always see everything. However, the home page is what you see when you first log in - and that's going to show all sorts of strange things. Including channels you are subscribed to. But nobody is going to take my word for it, since they remember some anecdote about how they were unsubscribed (or forgot they unsubscribed) or how they "weren't shown a video in their feed" (when they probably just missed it).

I like a couple of Ben & Jerry's flavors but I find all of their ice cream to be thin feeling in the mouth due to the almond milk it doesn't have that stick to your mouth creamy richness that others do. My favorite ice cream still is so delicious cashew milk ice cream in whatever flavor I feel like at the time.

There was a brand of ice cream, I think it might have been Dean's brand or something, but it was blueberry cream pie flavoured. I would LOVE so much if I saw anybody come out with a non dairy blueberry cream pie ice cream. It was soooo yummy. It had pieces of pie crust in it and a ribbon of blueberry jam stuff. It was ridiculously good, I haven't had it in almost ten years and I still remember how fucking good it was... I'm way too into talking about this ice cream....

The dairy B&J Cinnamon Buns has a caramel base rather than a cinnamon one, which honestly sounds like it would be a much better complement to the mix-ins as a whole. Not sure why they changed the base flavor for the non-dairy version.

I like the fact that Swayze changed her style and now looks more "feminine" (i.e. using more make-up, longer hair, different style) since she had her baby. It’s really creamy and doesn’t have any cinnamon swirl kind of deal in it, just cinnamon ice cream and pieces of dough which are very smooth and not gritty at all. I think that all videos from youtubers you’re subscribed to still show up in your subscriptions no matter how active of a subscriber you are, theyre just saying that you wont get post notifications unless you have post notifs on or youre a really active subscriber, but it will still show up in your subscription box either way

I'm trying to get more non-dairy IC in my local grocery, which is a very small, very over-priced POS of a place. I think they believe that catering to special diets is not financially beneficial, but lots of people have food intolerances and would more regularly buy ice cream if it was available.

Ben & Jerry's regular ice cream has had cinnamon roll flavor for a very long time and people love it. I want to see brownie batter they took it away from their regular ice cream and I want to see it non dairy it is everything you need out of chocolate when you need chocolate. 1. You are my all time favorite vegan advocate! I found you at the very beginning of my journey while looking up some very unhealthy fad diet style misinformation.
