Aside from it being a very limited production run, there doesn't seem to be anything justifying a 2 million price tag. Probably an exercise to assist in the company's financial performance amongst other things!

Also, think of the novelty, if all future electric cars will be based of that design; that means that come that time when electric cars are the norm, the owner would have a crazy gasoline powered car that still matches the design but is more unique cause it would be gas powered while everyone else has electric thus making it a super classic car. More and more countries will be moving to electric as we approach 2030 also emition regulations making more car manufacturers move towards electric vehicles

The current round Bentley headlights are beautiful and have been developed to be uniquely Bentley and unlike anything else. So much so that you don’t actually need a Bentley badge. I understand that this new machine has to be different enough so that it looks like it’s worth the pricetag, but I don’t think it’s a wise move to drop the classic round Bentley headlights in general, for something that looks just like what everybody else is doing. I quite like this design however; thanks for sharing Rory.

It’s definitely ionic, yes, but this serves as the design language for their new era of ev’s. Personally I think it’s fine to differentiate from the past and the future of Bentley.

I'm not saying these design is bad, it's really good but lost their character. Maybe soon, all car will look same in traffic 🤣. You'll notice when you take closer look for the brand. This is the future, from what i saw from many movies & documentaries, games like Gran turismo series with the gt vision concept. And it's happening now 😵‍💫

Love the directional wheels that are obviously not meant to be conventionally rotated. The angled bonnet seam will probably take off now that Bentley have done it. Genesis did something similar with the GV70

We have two Bentleys, a Continental convertible and a Flying Spur. The round jewel like headlights on the front are what stand out among other cars. That being said, nothing compares to the driving experience of a Bentley.

What always distinguished the forerunners of this car was that, in certain ways, they looked like nothing else in this segment. This was down to some key proportion and detail signature treatments in the design. Notably, these included very pronounced and proportionally substantial rear arch/haunches with strong crease lines and geometric relationships between proximal details such as vents, surface details and glasshouse shapes etc. Other essential identifying traits included Bentley motifs in the rear lights and side vents - here, needlessly removed. This car not only changes the overall proportions from the side view, making it look much less low and long - not necessarily a bad thing but a radical departure from a key identifier of the car's linage - but critically brings in pastiche elements from brands that rank below it and also fails to cohere these various changes in terms of the relationships between lines shapes and proportions. The overall roof line is overtly taken from the last 20 years of Mercedes coupes and the rear is a jarringly incoherent pilfering of the rear end treatments of just about every Aston Martin coupe of the last decade. This produces a superficially arresting and attention grabbing design but at the expense of trading off key and unique brand-identifying elements. Don't get me wrong, I like this - but I won't for long and I can't say its a cohesive or mature design when compared to others that made the brand so memorable. This is a, comparatively cheap, and ultimately sub-par design by Bentley standards (however superficially modish and fun). Add to that the aftermarket looking wheels with none of the finish, or style-over-fashion, choices that usually distinguish the brand when it comes to wheel design and the failure of this car to be a true modernisation, rather than a high street me-too pretender, is all too apparent. This puzzling bit of fashion signalling design will never be a classic. If it was a Hyundai Genesis product (or anything from the Audi stable) I'd think it was great - but it's not, is it?

looks pretty good! I think it would look even better as a wagon with roll-up windows. But still, this one's nice. also, part of me lives the fact that the W12 is still being built, but the other part of me feels this should have been a straight-6 PHEV. I feel like luxury grand tourers could really capitalise on electric motors for quiet around town jots in zero emissions, while still benefitting from a solid gas powertrain. Kinda weird to still be building gas-only cars in 2022, tbh.

To me bentley has alway had a luxorious look, but if you bring in sharp lines to front end along with sharp headlights (I know that's the trend now) this diminishes the look. Probably the design team know this, still a masterpiece.

Those headlights are unique to Bentley, its their signature. It is just as important as their logo. They shouldn't have done away with it. Without the logo, one could never have thought it was a Bentley. Great car, but bring back those headlights!

Everyone is talking about the “modern” design language and yet it reminds me of the Bentley R and S continental coupes from the 1950’s. This car is building on heritage as much as it is moving forward. Front end looks like a grinning koala bear. Maybe that is me.
