I actually got super lucky in that my dessert island factory base had two oil sites spawn in with the update, though I had to clear some foundation to reach them. Without super-breeding, I can run the whole base with 3 Orzek (two assigned to the new power tower, one to a basic generator) and the powerline booster. Assuming all three are actively generating electricity that is. If any of them take a break, power starts draining. So I imagine four Orzek on two power towers could likely run a full factory fairly efficiently, though there is the possibility that if they don't have the Nocturnal trait, the oil drills could drain your power overnight. However, I still feel like crude oil is just generated way too slowly, especially since you need 5 oil per plasteel, and you need a lot of plasteel for anything. It almost feels like it's faster to go to the new island and slaughter Kikits, which you can find a lot of in the sandy areas and have a 50% chance of dropping oil. Now I want someone to run the numbers on what's faster; a base with two oil rigs (how it's meant to be done), a kikit breeding program feeding them into the new Pal Disassembly Conveyor, or a daily kikit genocide (there's at least one other pal that has a 50% oil drop, but that one is dungeon exclusive it seems, so not as easily farmable).

I'm debating on getting two Kikit with Philanthropist (Think that is the new 100% egg production trait) and just bread a ton then throw them into the Pal Disassembly Conveyor since they have 50% Oil drop rate. Might be a nice little passive Oil along with the Extractors.

For power, I use 2 Orserk with Norternal + artist + serious + slave for 3 oil extraction

With the adition of ore mining site there is no point on looking for the regular ores spots anymore?

Absolutly no adition. I would even argue it's a downside since pals farm faster without the nodes, and if you switch to farm sulfur or coal, they still prioritize ore nodes Eventually the god base with 8 ore nodes and 6 coal nodes became one of the worse in term of mining effectiveness... But the view is nice :D

@@alexisdrugeon8056 you can now forcibly assign pals on specific production. Assign your "specific" miner to an ore facility ii, sulfur mine etc. They wont change priority.

U put in pals from it like a condenser. In the paldeck it will tell u what they drop. Amazing for grinding up alphas for loot

@@lurkergggg8759 Use a Surfent or any water mount. (Jormuntide, Azurobe) Lazers wont target you and you wont run out of Stamina.
