Great informational video. I found this several days ago making stickers. Interesting enough it appears stickers have more space now than silhouette studio.

Thank you! I dont think we have more space than Silhouette, as Silhouette only has 3 registration marks, and they can change the indentation height, but its very close!

Thank you for this. I wish I had found it before I did my last print then cut. I did notice Design Space updated because it took about 20 minutes but I never got any message about having to recalibrate and it let me do my project and I ruined some really nice paper and wasted expensive ink! I will try to check in more regularly. 😊

I was using the beta version, but my machine refused to read the new style of registration marks! I then had to switch back to the regular version. It still had some problems but it did eventually read the old style marks, but I will have to do a new calibration as the cuts are now off. 😆 TFS 🤗

Same my cricut won’t read these new sensor lines at all it cut the calibration paper but that one actually had the full black sensor line I don’t know what to do since I’m on mobile app I can’t switch to the previous version 😭😭 let me know if it ever works for you

Thanks so much for this video, I have so many issues with print then cut but I will try some of the things from this video and see if theres a difference. In terms of my issues: the sticker images I want to make refuse to fill the whole A4 page! I try resizing to fit the space and moving pieces but it still only fills up about half the page. And when I add more images to try to fit the size it ends up on two mats and leaves a big gap down the right side of the page. I also dont have the option of rearranging the images on the mat to fit the space and then cut because I dont have a printer at home😬 I have tried to print outside at postnet and even at work but it never aligns right when I try to go back. I hate wasting all this paper. I want to get a printer but I'm not sure if it will be worth my time as I work full time and dont have much time to use my cricut😢 really thinking about signing up for a class next month! Thanks again for your videos, you make it so much easier to understand how cricut and design space works!

Thank you so much! The best way to fill up your page is to do it before you go to the mat preview. You will NEVER align things perfectly a second time on the mat preview, so make sure you use my template on your canvas and flatten before you click Make :) I will be having a video coming out in the next few weeks documenting the whole process!

I've tried the beta but it didn't work for me as it did for you... So I got so frustrated I didn't touch my Cricut for a couple of days...I might offer it coffee tonight for reconciliation. Then will try again. I can't always blame it for my growing pile of oopsies.

I have noticed that print then cut is a bit wonky today, it is still in Beta so there are new bugs that happen every now and again, im sure it will be sorted out in a day or two. Until then - I just use the release version of the software! Not ideal, but it is a workaround

You can just select "print then cut" in the last frame, and make sure to not remove any parts you dont want to have cut.

You unfortunately cannot if you are using print then cut in Design Space. It does this automatically. You would need to print it through another program.

This sounds awesome ! I've managed to download your template and place my designs on it. However, I have a question about the flattening part ? Let's say I'm trying to make easy peel stickers (so using kiss cut + multiplying the background x3), won't flattening half of the page cancel my kisscut/easy peel by sticking design and background together ?? I don't know if i'm making sense, sorry english is not my first language... Thank you so much in advance !

Hi Kelyrin! I 100% understood that, and the way around that is to flatten your sticker, add a smaller offset (for the easy peel) and attach those two layers. I would also recommend duplicating the second offset so that it cuts through and is no longer a kiss cut!

I’m having trouble with printer starting to print then an error message comes up via printer and won’t finish printing. I’ve waisted so many sheets of printable stickers. It doesn’t do this with anything else I’m printing just Cricut. Thought it was a printer problem but it isn’t. I uninstalled design space and my printer and now only prints one side. If I print from anywhere else it prints perfect with no errors. Cricut is closed and I can’t get any help.

Hmm that is a strange one! Have you tried printing to pdf and then opening the pdf and printing that?

You cannot download outside of Cricut Design Space, but you can "edit a copy" and save that project

How in the world do we print on a 8.5 x 11 only have 8.5x11 paper that renders good prints

Just make sure your page size is set to 8.5x11! You can check this under the three line menu, settings and then its under Load type. You can get all your designs on the same canvas by having the projects open in a new Cricut Design Space window (only available on a computer/laptop), and copying them accross!

Hi Robin! You can hit "Save" in the top of your screen near the right hand side. If you are talking about how to use my template, once you have clicked on the link, it should open up for you, and you can click "Edit a copy" near the bottom of the screen. From there you can save it to your projects like I mentioned above! 🙂

I would suggest recalibrating your machine, or using matte tape over the lines if you are using glossy paper, if none of that works - reachout to customer support to help live on the call :)

That is the size of media you are printing on :) US use Letter size (8.5x11") and the majority of other places use A4 as their standard media size.

It does take a little bit of getting used to before you get out of the frustrating phase - you can do it!
