Nice video. Just ordered my specialized rockhopper🥳 I can't wait. It comes on Thursday!

Very nice! As others said, I suspect you'll find a way to continue enjoying the Spark for 2 reasons: 1) It likely will be more fun on certain trails, particularly those with lots of pedaling (such as trails with less elevation gain/loss). And, 2) you'll have a back-up bike for when the Enduro needs service and is out of commission for a while.

Exactly right. I’m sure it’ll keep its spot in the rotation. I’m amped to have the beginnings of a diversified fleet

Started watching your videos since I saw you got an Enduro. Welcome to the family. Definitely need some better hubs for the rear. I have I9 Hydra on my Sworks. I see you have cush core in the rear. I run them front and rear. See you on the trails.
@_Aitch_ Жыл бұрын
Thanks for watching. Haven’t had any issues with the hubs yet and I like how quiet they are. Glad you like the Hydra but too loud for me 😂. I’ve considered putting cushcore in the front too but I’m pretty light and have only ever had issues banging up rear wheels so that’s why I went only rear. See you out there!

I think you'll come to find yourself back on the Spark on mellower trails. I ran the gambit of bigger bikes for my area and have gone to a 120/120 Top Fuel for my local rides because it is much more fun than bigger bikes where I live and the types of trails I ride most often. My longer travel bike is my vacation bike for the most part. Love it still but the Top Fuel is the more appropriate bike for me as a daily driver. Look forward to future videos on the new bike. You were pushing the Spark to its limits :)

I hope so... I really like the Spark. I'd hate for it to sit around. Been having a lot of fun on the Enduro over the last couple of days though 😂

Exciting to get that second bike so you now have options. I have a 2021 spark and also a 2020 sc Hightower. I have more fun on the spark. Hands down. But it’s great to have choices. Love having 2 bikes.

I've been catching up on your vids and you have progressed impressively. Congrats on the new stallion! It's an awesome bike! I looked around and done tons of research before I got mine too. I went with the Nukeproof Mega. It's a beast of a bike. I'll be heading over to Jarrods Place in the upcoming month! Maybe I will see you there!

I've been getting the itch to buy a bike again. Something I noticed was the rear shock placement. I had a Giant Anthem with the shock like your Scott and my second bike was a Scott Spark 10 and the rear shock was horizontal under the top frame tube. I always like the way the Giant suspension pivoted. I find it interesting that Scott changed the location and pivot. Do u notice any difference between the 2 brands. I know there's less travel on the x country Scott but pivot movement better power etc
@_Aitch_ Жыл бұрын
I'm not too familiar with Giant so I don't really have an opinion tbh. The only 2 mountain bikes I've ever owned are the Scott Spark 970 and the Specialized Enduro Expert. Love them both though!

That's nicer than anything I've ever bought for myself! Congrat! Where are you based out of and how do you get so much time to explore all these sick trails?

I live in Atlanta but potentially moving to a better MTB location soonish. I graduated college in May and was able to travel a lot during a gap semester in the fall and took trips in the spring when I got a free weekend, spring break, etc. Looking for a job related to the industry currently so I'm riding as much a possible before I find one.

@@_Aitch_ I had an inkling you were from GA due to all the southeast trails. I'm in Lawrenceville. I wish I had the foresight to do what you're doing now when I was your age. Nice. I have the Specialized Enduro. Most fun I have ever had on a bike. So stable and forgiving. Goes up down and over anything no problem. Just point and shoot down the trail. #IAmSpecialized
@_Aitch_2 жыл бұрын
So far so good. When I was doing research on it, I couldn’t find any negative reports on it other than “sometimes it’s too stable so I like the flip chip in the High setting.” I’ve been loving it so far.

I've seen 2 other youtubers crack a carbon specialized frame and were warranted with the s works branded frame(send'er buds and Van Can i believe) probably what happened with that used one

Yeh there was something that didn't feel right with it. Brand new, less than 100 miles, but all sworks level parts were swapped (wheels, shock, fork, axs, brakes). I think I made the right call.

Hard to say cuz I only have the Spark to compare it to. I’d say probably? The bike is definitely worth the purchase so far but idk about carbon vs aluminum. It’d be cool if they made an aluminum version to see the difference.
