I work for a dealership that sells 3 major Japanese brands and CFMoto. The CFMoto motorcycle line is my favorite by far. Getting parts hasn't been an issue, and reliability is excellent so far. Our customers have been quite happy with their cycles. You're right about the Ibex, it's a major deal at that price with all the quality components. Having cruise control is a big deal too. Nice bike John. My 1st bike was a 2017 CF Moto MT650. I loved that bike. I did have it back a couple of times with warranty issues which were taken care of. I had it for 2 years before trading it on my 1st FJR1300

So what is the maintenance intervals on this bike? when do the valves need to be adjusted? and do you need to take it to a dealer for service? is there any service lights that come on like when the oil needs to be chanced? if so can you reset it yourself? I ask because the Triumph needs a dealer to rest that light. I am very interested in getting this bike!

Hello again there sir, The owners manual says 9000 miles on the oil change... I will be changing mine at about 5000 miles... holds 3 liters of oil. The manual says check the valves every 18000 miles... I will do that myself. There is a warning that comes up when the engine is started that states the oil change service is due. It goes out in a minute or so... As far as I can tell the dealer will have to do a reset to clear that message. I will be doing a video on all the things that I do not like about the bike before long.. no bike is perfect so you might want to see that video before you go out and buy one.... I really like my bike and would buy it again... thanks for watching... :)

Would love to hear your opinion of throttle and fuel maps. Myself and a handful of friends too a ride on the 800T at a CFMOTO demo event, and that throttle and fueling is very lacking in my opinion. Twitchier than a Jack Russel Terrier on Ritalin.

Hello there sir, good to hear from you. I find the fueling to be pretty aggressive on the Ibex. I don't find the on/off throttle to be jerky but the fuel curve is very aggressive. I rode in rain mode for the first 3 or 4 hundred miles but eventually I have grown accustomed to the mapping and don't give it much thought any more... I noticed it the most when riding off road on slow technical trails. After a thousand miles or so I can say that I am not a fan of the fueling but I don't notice it much any more either. For me the fueling is not that much of an issue however the vibey 790 KTM engine is still annoying to me. The engine likes to be up around 4000 rpm to be happy so I have had to change my riding habits to accommodate it. I find that I use the gear box quite a bit more than I would prefer... That being said I would still buy the Ibex again.. it is a very fun bike, is quite good off road and travels very well... It is hard to find a bike that will do it all as well as this one.... Hello there sir, good to hear from you...I bought my Ibex back in April and have taken a 4000+ mile trip out to Arizona, Utah, New Mexico, Colorado with no problems of any kind. I believe the KTM 790 engine is a pretty reliable engine and the bike has high quality suspension and electronics on board. The fueling is an issue as I have mentioned in most of my videos on this bike. CFMOTO says there is a software update on the way that will address the fueling issue and also there is a warning that pops up on these bikes saying there is an ECU System Failure when there is really no problem at all. CFMOTO says the update will address this as well. I can't say that I would definitely recommend this bike at this time. If CFMOTO makes good on the fueling issues then at that time I would say yes but I am from Missouri... I will believe it when I see it. I am quite happy with my bike even with the warts. For the money I paid for the bike I feel that I have a lot of bike. I would by the bike again or maybe go for the Explorer edition when it gets here. If you can live with a bit of over achieving throttle roll on and a bit of surging at low speeds you will probably enjoy the bike. The bike travels very nicely with good wind protection, comfort and very relaxed highway manners. The bike has very good suspension and is sprung properly it works surprisingly well off road and is very nice on. If the fueling is going to drive you crazy I would wait and see if CFMOTO gets the software updated and the fuel mapping issues addressed. I own a tenere 700 and it just not the right bike for what I want to do..so I'm looking into the cfmoto or the new vsrom 800de.. but the suzuki is a lot more money.. but I want a good bike that will last until I can no longer ride and hand it down to my son

Interesting. I didn't know KTM had a joint venture with China. There seems to be a lot of similarities to the KTM 890. Why didn't you buy a KTM?

Good to hear from you sir, the main reason I would not get a KTM is simply that the KTM's are not very comfortable bikes to travel on... they are great on trails but not so good on the 1000 mile trip to the trails.
