@@frenchcountrylove7435 TRUE. That frame was mid century and most likely made by Syroco or Dart. It was a fantastic find. I would have cleaned and given it an old world patina with rub and buff. GORGEOUS.

You can definitely store Olive Oil in glass decanters if you’re storing it in the pantry. Honestly, it’s totally fine on your counter top too. They actually make clear glass decanters that SAY Olive Oil on them already. I’ve been storing my oils in clear glass decanters for years. It just can’t be in direct bright light if it’s stored in clear glass. It’s usually not that bright on a counter top, with the upper cabinets making it to where bright light isn’t affecting the oil at all. So, it IS okay to keep your oils in a glass decanter. If, for some reason you’re storing it near a window with bright light beaming in or on a counter top with the lights beaming down, then use a darker glass. As long as it’s not in direct bright light, clear glass is just fine. 🙂

⭐ The paper from the print will damage the antique ephemera very quickly. The acid and lignin in it will cause the piece to continue to darken and degrade as it off gasses inside the glass. The print may even bleed. A simple acid and lignin free matboard or artist paper the size of the frame will preserve it... good acid free ones can be found at big box stores now.
