@@MichiganGreatOutdoors the prima was the one my wife liked but she said the elite was easier to draw back. Whatever is comfortable is what I told her. I can’t wait for her to get her first deer with it!

@Jimmy Gammons yeah Nicole wanted the prima actually but it was super top heavy and she didnt like how it felt. I felt the same way when I handled it. Im happy she found something that fit her. Best bet is to shoot what feels the best for sure!!

Whois setting her up with that trigger? Ain’t right people! She will be punching it in just a few minutes. The index finger is NOT supposed to be stretched out where the finger tip is riding on the trigger. She needs to have a release set up SHORT ENOUGH so her finger can hook over the trigger and be activated using the pull thru method with her back muscles.

@@MichiganGreatOutdoors awesome! I just hate seeing archers doing this. Those barrel designed releases shouldn’t even be on the market. They’ve totally ruined thousands of new shooters by teaching them to punch

@@MichiganGreatOutdoors there are several videos of a great way to set up a thumb where the thumb is NOT floating/ sticking out away from the palm riding on the knob. This can and usually leads to punching also. Set the barrel knob short where the thumb can rest on the tip of the index finger or just touch the the release. This creates a circle with the thumb riding on a repeatable resting point. With some minor travel and tension adjustments the release will fire with just pulling thru. There will be no movement of the hand or thumb. Takes a good commitment to get it right. This way the shooter can just focus on the target and as the pin floats just begin pulling with back muscles. The brain doesn’t need a conscious thought to fire as it will become basically automatic. Just focus and pull. Eventually, she will notice a timing sequence in reference to the pin float becoming smaller and smaller and subconsciously begin to pull. This is not something that can be done in few dozen shots. It take hundreds of slow methodical focused shots. But in the end she will have CONTROL of the shot.
