I was so confused when he said that, especially compared to other videos like blood sweat and tears where he was clearly wearing at least a bit more. But in this one it's barely visible and yet he was saying there was no need for ALL that makeup?🤔 he looks good no matter what though so its not like whether he does or not actually matters as long as he's still confident in his looks and we know he's a genuinely beautiful person inside and out. The song starts with J-Hope's verse, who claims to be drunk and sad and his life being a complete mess. The lyrics encourage to live your life without worries, full of joy. Focus yourself more on the future, because the past remains in the past. At the end of the song, Suga says "I'll forgive you", which means you don't have anything to worry about from the past. RM explained, “We didn’t want to just blankly say ‘cheer up’ or ‘be strong.’ We really wanted to comfort people our way, by producing the music and writing the lyrics ourselves. We poured our heart and soul into this amazing song.” They also added, “It’s natural that people fail or make mistakes, but I think it’s a touchy subject for the society as a whole. We wanted to comfort ourselves by saying that one mistake or failure is not the end of the world.”

An interesting anecdote about the lyrics to fire.... You realize they are telling youth that they should follow their own dreams and not the dreams of their parents or their teachers... That youth is the time to make mistakes and that it's okay to be wrong. (That's why Suga says "I'll forgive you" at the end.) In Korean society this is quite the opposite to how schools and parents educate kids. In Jan there was some big to-do involving many Asian countries. Sort of a diplomatic detente to which N. Korea was invited. Everything was going well, people where animated, talking, etc. Then, BTS's fire started playing through the sound system. First, the N Korean delegation got really quiet. Then several delegates got up and left. The power of music!!!

Honestly I love you guys! I love watching new fans come to learn and appreciate BTS and Kpop in general! I'm so happy you guys are enjoying the experience!
