Hey Sim! Hyped for the update. Little nervous to dip my toes into the PTS - I don't wanna lose any of my stuff - but I had a few questions if you had the time (or anyone in the PTS reading of course!!)? -Have any of you found any new areas that require a bomb to open up? It seems the Hot and Hazy update introduced that mechanic. -Quartzite aside, what has been the most demanding resource? Is it a newer one the update brought, or something like plant fiber? -(porch of the shed) You get on the porch from the wood-side. Is the OPPOSITE side of the porch safe? Could I build a base there?? 🤔 -(last one I swear. Trying to plan.) Has the WHOLE stretch of the upper yard (same level as shed) been updated? Like, wildlife is varied and not just grass-stalks up there now? Planned on building up that high and back by the HIGHER pond. I think the first thing I'm going to do is slap some of these ox beetles and termites silly (thanks for the guide by the way!) For the new tier tools.

There is one spot that needs a bomb yes, it opens up the " upper yard ascend" so you can access it without building up to it.

As far as the other side of the shed, you can access the porch as well, from the shed towards the upper pond is still under construction.

Usually i dont have roly poly armor so i usually kill them with level 0 salt morning star, level 0 antlion armor, perfect blocks and using a few fiber bandages and beefy slops

I have full ladybug armor, black ant shield, black ant sword, mosquito needle and all tier II tools, all level 5. For healing, I have 5 healbasas, 20 bandages and 40 healing smoothies - fuzz on the rocks and green machine. I'll take boost juice, liquid rage, human food, funguspacho and omelant before fight. And also additional sticky bomb. Is it not enough, enough, or am I overprepared for the Assistant Manager bossfight?

@TheMoreCoolester I also tried with hammer. It was really easy, but then somehow he instantly absolutely shredded me. It looks like he has two phases.

I just went in with lamp helmet, lady bug gear, black ant shield, mosquito needle, ant club and crossbow with 30 feather arrows. Found 4 smoothies in a loot box and like 7 bandages. The black soldier ants made me use most of my bandages. My strat was immediately take out his bots with club (3 hit combo), then kite the boss with the xbow, run around picking up the arrows and rinse and repeat until he starts calling his laser and shock AOEs I just leaned against the glass and jumped over the beams and stayed centered to avoid the shock and blocked his electric orbs

i feel like irl the beetle would just climb on top of max and you just put your sharp weapon through the abdomen and that would be an instakill

Loving the content Slim. Have been a massive help with learning the game . Just wondering , how do you get your map so detailed ? I have explored nearly all the map but yours is far more detailed. For example , the Ox Beetle location . Is it the SCA.B or am I missing something?

I always play on mid and i think the antlions, rollypollies, black ox beetles are too strong. They almost one hit kill me with Tank armor, forcing me to cheese them into stuck positoins and kill them with the crossbow. I usually play heavy weapons, Tank armor and parry a lot but the risk to fight these guys in close combat is just too high. I guesse im not the only person taking this aproche and i hope the devs will take note of this.
