[NEW] C6 Ceramics APP, Hydro Lite & DIY Detail Trim Restore - Application

A bunch of new products from DIY Detail and their C6 Ceramics line. I offered a good friend a completely free ceramic coating with paint enhancement and he couldn't turn that deal down. C6 Adhesion Promoter Polish, or APP which is a primer polish of sorts utilizing a pretty unique method of finely polishing the paint and causing it to slightly swell, masking light imperfections that get locked in with a coating applied. We also have C6 Hydro Lite, a coating similar to DIYs line but with detonated nano diamonds which in theory increase paint hardness, though it is QUITE expensive. Lastly is DIY Detail's Trim Restore & Protect, a plastic dye and coating largely inspired by the famous Solution Finish with ceramic coating protection all in one formula. Martin, thanks for the video. Looks good. A few little things, C6 Ceramics Adhesion Promoter Polish (APP) is designed to replace panel prep, not the polishing step. C6 Ceramics Adhesion Promoter Polish (APP) needs a dry pad. We us Refined Detonated Nano Diamonds, other brands use diamond nano tubes or detonation nano diamonds. The metal card was added by error in the first 25 boxes produced. The provided applicator uses less coating, and has less chance of high spots. Please wear gloves!

I remember from our interview. I am exploring some off label use here with APP, as I personally would only use it to save myself a step if the paint has the right conditions. I learn all kinds of neat things going off label!

Great job, c6 is the real deal. $300 is more than others, but high performance is never cheap.

Hey Martin i love your videos. Except this 1! It doesn’t sound like you know much about the app as it’s not designed to remove anything really and why why why would you apply the c6 without gloves???

I know it's not. If you saw my interview I did with Yvan and John, Yvan states that the nature of APP which swells the paint can help to "fill/hide" defects. I also said in the first minute of the video, APP is not designed to remove protection. Also why I apply without gloves, because I use an applicator with a plastic barrier so the coating stays in the applicator and doesn't leak through to my hands. Should I be applying coatings with gloves? Yes, but I tend not to when using autofiber savers. This is my shop, not DIY/C6s shop. I like to experiment and do things differently to find other solutions that work for all the products I get in here.

I’m not trying to tell you how to run your shop, but what i can tell you is that any coating company and any applicator company will tell you to wear gloves when applying ceramic coats

It’s way too expensive. It’s really hard to tell if there is any chance of it being worth close to that right now because everyone making videos on it got it for free. I’m sure it’s a perfectly good coating, but the value can be skewed when it’s expensive but free. There are other cheaper nano diamond coatings as he mentioned in this video too.

@@chrisbradley3224 plenty of coatings already do that at a much cheaper price. It could take years to determine that. By then the market will be even more flooded but not at this cost.

Yea, its pricy overall;however, from my point of view it could be okay. For example, i saw recently carpro dquartz. It was 100+€. Hydro lite can be applied on 2 mid size vehicles which is a normal car in Europe. So if you could apply hydro lite on 2 cars, it would be 150€ per vehicle.

@@sandokan4elayer two coats of DQuartZ go or do SiC as a top coat and it is an absolute fantastic coating!
