Back in 1974, I purchased a new Camaro. Lived in SoCal, the dealer called me at work and told me I could pick-up my car anytime. I told them I would be down at lunch. I drove out of the lot, made a right turn on to a side street, still in front of the dealer, a tractor trailer passed me on the left and sideswiped my new car. Not surprised at all regarding the screws in the Camaro tires! I cut my mother-in-laws grass and she lives on a busy state highway! Always at the entrance to her driveway I pickup everything from nails, screws and plenty of sharp scrap metal plus used condoms (I do not touch)! Makes you wonder what is on our roads wherever we travel! Being a Chevy guy myself I hope Chevy does some modifications on the heavy duty truck front end for the next model year! I hear they focus group their designs but that focus group must of been on drugs! It just isn't appealing to me but the heavy duty GMC is sharp looking! Thanks for your videos! I enjoy them!

My 2018 Silverado 1500 has had the transfer case stop shifting after driving in the rain , same with a different 2018 I owed . The dealer did ZERO to try to help , it dried out & started to shift … they said it was FIXED & they didn't touch it . They need a recall on the transfer case to fix the water leaks & failures to shift .

Tire and wheel policy saved me, I hit a peice of metal and sliced 1 tire 50 miles from anything. My Camaro was flatbed towed to closest dealer, this is when I found out 1 tire cost $700 ( covered ) the tires were on back order Apparently my 2014 spring special edition 2SS had one off 21" wheels and only Perelli PZeros made the tire size. 3 days later I had my car back

I've been doing roadside assistance for several years and this is by far worse than anything I've ever seen. I had a woman that had 2 nails in one tire, and I've had people that got flat tires on consecutive days but no fewer than 12 screws in 3 tires on a *brand new* zl1 is crazy.

Had that happen to me in FL, a construction truck dumped a big box of roofing nails on the road and a bunch of cars, like 20 cars drive over them and got flats, the driver of the truck was new and felt horrible, the companies insurance picked up the cost for the new tires for all involved

I took delivery of a 2019 ZO6 M7, and drove several hours in torrential rain. Glad it was in the rain/snow mode. White knuckle experience. Tried to sell me the tire and wheel, but thought the price was high. What do You charge and if One lives in another state, is it a hassle to collect.

Funny enough my buddy had a truck drop some scrap wood and nails the day after he bought his f150. Ford dealer bought him 2 tires to make sure he was happy. No issue no warranty bought. Dodge also rebuilt my rear axle 2000 miles outside of warranty as they said I never should have had to deal with it...

I've had three flat tires in 32 years of driving. One was vandalism which resulted in the perp having six broken bones in both arms thanks to an NHL player who lives up the road. (Don't mess with hockey players cars) That poor ZL1 owner had more than a century worth of nails in his tires. I will reconsider tire and wheel insurance when I buy my next car, due to the amount of construction going on. The arm breaking incident was clearly caught on four neighbors cameras. With sound on at least mine. Watching one of the toughest players hold the perps arm and break it over his knee, over and over felt like sweet justice. Didn't want to take the bottle of tequila in exchange for the memory card, but how do you say no? I got to do shots with him, and he keeps hooking me up with tickets. Tickets for a team that hasn't won The Cup for over 50 years. Always fun to remind him.

I'm glad the tire and wheel coverage worked for the guy. The fact is, what happened to him is a very unusual situation. The vast, vast majority of folks who spend the extra money for such coverage never use it. The last three cars I bought an extended warranty for, I never used. So in each case, that was $800 to $1,200 that I just flushed down the toilet. The last few cars I've bought new, I turned down the extended warranty coverage even though the sale department was "really" pushing me to buy it. In each of these cases, I wouldn't have used it anyway as I never had any significant repair needs within the mileage and time limits of the warranty so that was money that I saved, big time, and extended warranties these days are going for LOT more than $1,200!!

Most likely the tire and wheel contract had not been submitted for before the Screwmageden so technically not covered. Id assume someone in the office is now pushing it through and then will try to submit after it goes through (good luck with that).. I have worked at a dealer where they paid for a tire for a 1 day old customer with a similar situation (just 1 tire though) just for customer satisfaction. I will say that the tire and wheel warranty on my Focus has saved me 6 tires (230.00 per incident) in 3 years on a 7 year contract. I highly recommend it if you have low profile tires as they are pretty much a misery to live with on a true daily.

Got my ZL1 replacement yesterday. Just picked up my new Subaru STI Type RA, couldn't be more speechless with how much better a car it is. Not only does it dominate winter but with winter tires on I feel beyond confident compared to sitting in my rubber eraser mobile. AWD is by far superior and my eyes are now truly open. Sure I'm sad that I'm gonna be selling my Camaro it's served me well. But every now and then it's time for a change. And my first Japanese car does not disappoint. 😉
