Came across your vlogs by chance after buying a couple of fogstar drift batteries. We too like the outdoors owning a narrowboat and vintage caravan. And then there is the 1973 caraboat which I'm researching the best way to turn it into all electric. Now that's going to be fun.

We fitted the same Renogy charger to our new-to-us boat after using Victron on the last one. As an all-in-one unit it’s a good option with plenty of options.

Lovely bit of kit brother and the battery looks less of a back breaker than my 3 135ah batteries... my little boat heels over to the starboard since I fitted them. I did it the other way around... lived in a self made camper then a boat... best mod I did on the van was put a swivel bracket on the two passenger seats... gives ya a little sofa without taking up any extra space and when their half turned, you can get into the cockpit alot easier! Well worth the few hundred for the bracket. You're both doing a crackin job tho 💜💙

Hey, thank you for the comment 😁. And definitely, for its capacity, it's light. On our boat, we had 400ah of agm, and it was just over 100kg 🥵. We did think about the swivel, but as it's a small van, we wanted the extra cabinet and counter space, haha. Hope you well, all the best, Brynn and Jade

I had the renogy dc to dc 50amp it only does 25amps from each so that went pretty quick

Have you had any issues with the 3000w inverter connected to the battery? Looking at getting the 460ah battery with a 3000w inverter but hesitant due to the 2500w max recommended

I don't think the battery will give you 3000w. Its maximum current output is 200a which, at 12v, is 2400w. At 230v rather than 13a, the max is just over 10a.

Yes, you are correct 😅. Some of my maths has been off, but luckily, I've found some ways to make it all work 😁 thank you for this comment 😊

What ways have you found as your only option is to add a further battery in parallel to get you the extra 200amp? @@ChasingCurrents

I sent them 3 questions to fogstar for some technical info before I spent my money with them...Didn't get a reply to any of them...Confidence shattered I spent the money elsewhere.

Same here... No response from Fogstar . If they don't respond before purchase what chance after purchase?

@@jfkjfk1 Hi...I should update this to be fair...I've had 6 or so dealings with Fogstar since my last comment here, both for the motorhome Lifepo4 and a diy solar battery for home....Happy to say they've all been flawless so I'd have no issue recommending them now that I've had those dealings with them.
