I'm super impressed with watching the ejection pattern from no can to can. It didn't change much if any. So to me that says no back pressure.

I’ve got the Rad 9mm , Rad45 acp, Rad 22 (1st gen), 556ti and 762 ti cans from OSS. I love not getting gas in my face and not having to clean my magazines after every trip to the range. Plus while it’s louder in front of the muzzle than traditional cans on auto loading rifles (which I don’t care as that’s the end you don’t want to be on, plus with supersonic you have been hit by the time you hear it) it’s quieter than most conventional cans for the shooter. I’ve got Q cans and Surefire as well and they are my favorite by far.

Been running one of the 7.62 ti cans on my 300wm and it's been flawless. Love it! And I'll never run a different suppressor on an AR. The in your face gas blowback you get pummeled with from other cans is BS.

POI shift and groups are two different things. Zero with the can on then take it off shoot a group and put it back on and shoot a group. see if the POI changes from taking off and putting back on. What I have found with the OSS 556 is that there is very little shift...barely noticeable. But each rifle is different. Grouping shouldn't change either you or your rifle group or you don't. Pulling cans on and off is where you will see POI shift.

You really don't need to tighten OSS cans that tight when you mount them. Just barely hand tight and they'll torque themselves on where they like to be.

Those OSS cans get really loud when they get hot for some reason. The Army started using them on their M110E1. I was surprised how loud they are. Great system for keeping your gas gun a little cleaner though with the reduced back pressure.

It's almost like the 5.56 had a stiffer barrel than the 6.5CM. I thought carbon-fiber was supposed to be mega stiff. Maybe the longer battel permitted more flex?

After the weight of the suppressor torques your barrel downward, does that permanently change the accuracy of an unsuppressed barrel? Does the added weight bend the barrel or does it affect it at the barrel nut when it changes point of impact? Thanks
@WestDesertShooter2 жыл бұрын
The suppressor should only effect the rifle while on the gun. On and off kind of effect. It should not effect the barrel but since that is torqued on MUCH tighter that a can is. My cans are generally a little more than hand tight. A barrel nut is anywhere from 45 FT LB to well over 100.

How does it sound on the gas gun. I'm so freakin stressed trying to get the best can for precise shooting mostly with gas guns in 22 and 26 cal. Iv only got 1 day to get it done between work and Christmas. Just trying to get it right. I don't know anyone with the oss because folks say they are loud

Would you reccomend using 7.62 HX QD TI for a 556 sbr? Or just get the 556 HX qd? (I already have a sandman L)
@crissgrizzly2 жыл бұрын
If you plan on getting something in 300 blk in the future go 762 so you can use it on both platforms. If not the 556 can should have better suppression so go that route.

@@crissgrizzly I heard 300 BO is such low pressure the flow through doesn’t really work. If that’s the case I’ll just use my sandman L since it’s a traditional baffle. I think I’ll just get 556 since that’ll be my gassiest firearm.
