Canik is underrated. Very few people I encounter at my local range have ever even seen one. I own three and have several thousand rounds thru each of them. 0 reliability issues. They just keep running. They've gone from a cheap alternative to a viable option, if that makes sense 🤔. Great video as always 👌

@lubrew5862 caniks are worth every penny. I bought my first one based partly on his recommendation. I wasn't watching for the canik content, by the way. Since then, I've purchased 2 more based on their accuracy, reliability, and their triggers are phenomenal. Is it the pistols you have a problem with or the format they were presented? Because I fail to see the point of your comment other than to be negative in a world full of it already. Just my 2 cents.

See the cutout in the box? Room for optic room for comp. So they will be selling that version at some point I'm sure. Threaded barrel for these popped up as soon as gun was listed. really wish they weren't controlled items in EU nations. We could get threaded on all our imports.

Had a Mete MC9 when they first came out. Had all the problems with it and even after all the recommended fixes it still had issues. Ended up selling it. Hopefully all those issues have been resolved with this one.

@@Iron_Insightss yes sir! I own 2 Caniks (Elite SC with Shield RMS-x and TP9SFX with a Vortex Viper) and they have both been 100% reliable with zero malfunctions, they are super accurate, and the price point is crazy low. Most people who hate on Canik have zero experience with them…

Damn! I bought a mete sc last year and I'm liking it more than my g26 which is very hard for me to say. I find myself keeping the 15 round mag in it all the time so this would be a perfect replacement.

The same reason I still carry my elite sc with the 12+4 tf baseplate. Perfect slot between a g26 and g19. That mc9l has a promising future in my life though 😂😂😂

@@lucasblanchard47 it was an elite sc in their fde not the mete. I forgot because I was looking at the mete at the same time and remembered it was smaller that's why I went with the sc. With this having the longer grip it will make up for it.

Canik is the top tier pistol that few know about it's not only the best trigger but it's one of the most accurate pistol I've ever shot and I've run alot of guns every single one I own has never had a malfunction and when you upgrade the parts it still works flawlessly unlike upgrading glocks where you add one thing to it and it stops working right more people need to give them a chance I like it more then my echelon better then m&p 2.0 better then my glock better then my rugers better then my fn pistols better then my sig pistols it's rediculos how it beats guns way above the price of a canik I even rate it better then my colt 1911 chambered in 38 super made in 1952 canik rips them all apart anyone I've handed it too they instantly fall in love

I have the mete mc9. I had to file down the frame and get a new recoil spring to fix not returning to battery. Hope this model doesn't have the same issue.

I have the OG MC9 and enjoy it. I'm debating going for the MC9 LS, with the thought that I should be able to use my OG slide on it if I want to switch it up to the shorter slide version. I haven't seen it mentioned yet but I don't see any reason why that wouldn't work.

I wouldn't expect that to work, since the MC9 has proprietary mags and the MC9LS uses standard Canik mags. They may not be compatible, but I would like to see an internally comped version for sure.

@ this is incorrect, the MC9 accepts standard Canik mags as well. Additionally, there are several KZbinrs who have now already demonstrated the MC9 slide will go on an MC9LS, making it an MC9L.

I like my mc9. Fits my hands perfect. I have small hands. 7” wrist to finger tip with 2.5” index finger. Fits in waist perfect as, it is my close up carry. I liked some of the larger guns. This is most shooter friendly gun for me.

It sounds like a great budget option for someone who doesn't have a P365; with the appropriate grip and/or mag, the Sig gives the same capacity--IF you have one already.

I shot the LS was so impressed . Crazy accuracy. I usually shoot at 7yards took it out at the range to 15 years and the grouping was the best I have ever seen a red dot is pointless in this gun you can get more accurate than with it with irons . I wasn’t even taking my time to line up the shots they just went exactly were I wanted . Good lord this is the best gun in its class just bought 3more bye bye hellcat fn reflex sig 365 no need for you anymore .

Right. They already cut the insert for a comp inside the case. Looks like front sight is dovetailed, might make it a real PITA to port the barrel and cut the slide. I saw that they dropped a threaded barrel for it already though.

I have the sfx and it had a little break in period. Also, anyone new to Caniks, you will need to CLEAN it then lube it out of the box. I had light strikes and ftf when I first got mine until I got whatever "packing grease" was on the internals and threw some 124gr down range. Fantastic affordable line of pistols (can't speak to the TTI combat not the price for that thing when it's just an SF(x) with the end chopped and reattached as a comp with the TTI marketing LOL). Plan on picking up this one as well.

(Repost) Tested my MC9L today against my TP9SC Elite, and Mete SFX. Used Blazer 115 & 124, as well as Sig Crown 124 HPs. No issues with included mag, but did have 2 Fail to Feeds using my SFX 20 round mag in the MC9L (Blazer). Extremely accurate, might not put a red dot on it. Enjoyed shooting it more than my TP9SC, more controllable, Less recoil (even with using an extended mag with inserts). Also had a fail in my TP9SC… the slide locked back with a round in the chamber, thankful for the mechanical load indicator. My Mete SFX was as tack sharp accurate as always (Swampfox red dot). Possibly the failures were all mag or ammo related, but Blazer is pretty reliable. I did have a striker issue with my SFX after a couple hundred rounds, have not had any malfunctions since its return from Canik. My son enjoyed shooting the MC 9L more than my other two Caniks.

Check your mags. The opening front and back on the feed lips. They are consumable items unfortunately, but you can set mag lip opening with pliers made for it. It's a common item to take a measurement on and one that has to be maintained on competition gear. You want to use a micrometer on the top, measuring front of mag and back. The back should be slightly wider. For reference, check the other mags for that gun and find a common opening that works. You should also check the mag release notch. Ensure it's a common height from the top of feed lips to the top of notch. A jewelers file can make a slight adjustment there if it's too low (resulting in a mag sitting higher than it's supposed to be) Sometimes coatings or worn machine tools can affect an exact height.

Not owning the mentioned tools, I would probably just buy a new one though. The round which remained following slide-lock is actually of greater concern (TP9SC), perhaps I was riding the slidelock and it was just coincidental that it was the last round in the mag. I’ll be selling both my TP9’s though. I enjoyed shooting the MC9L more and for my hands found it more accurate and flatter shooting. Thanks again!

My edc is the TP9 Elite SC. I'm not a fan of the original MC9 bcuz I have big hands, but I'm definitely interested in the LS version.

I'm 6'4" with the paws to match. My MC9 is a little small for my hands but just barely. I use the pinky extension for the 12rd mag and the biggest backstrap and it made up for it nicely. With about 200 rounds of training I've gone from 50% accurate at 10 yards to 80+ in a few days' time. I still shoot better with the TP grip and mag well, mind you, but the MC9 is great for EDC.
