New Car Full Detail - 2018 VW GTI MK7.5

Here is how you fully detail a new car. This process took upwards of 20 hours. At the end i coated the car using Gyeon Syncro with 3 coats of Gyeon Mohs and 2 coats of Gyeon Skin for full protection. The car was kept dry for a week after coating application to ensure proper curing.

great job! Noticed you used a MF cloth on the instrument cluster. Using a 800 GSM, 70/30 blend mf towel with an APC still left fine scratches on my instrument cluster lens. Do you have any problems with that?

Anthony Andruzzi in 2018 it was an option for the SE to opt out of the leather and get the beautiful plaid.

I should have only done one layer of skin, the second layer did add much and was even a bit hard to remove. one layer is super slick and more then enough. Mohs 3 layers i would do again though.

Canada doesn't get the digital dash at all on the GTI, only on the R. I think in the US you can actually add the digital dash as an option, but not in Canada for some reason.

Polishing the car cannot be that hard to do, i think , i need a good polisher and great compound and polishing car after is really clean. At work somethimes i have to " pollish " some plastic , grey plastic, and i use 1 polisher, is really a easy job to do it doesnt need to get perfect, only major scratches i need to get out of the grey plastic.

I don’t understand your purpose in doing all of this to a new car, I only wash mine every 2 weeks and wax every 6 months and it still looks the same as yours.

Way too much unnecessary work. First off, dont polish an almost new car. The reason you polish/wax a car is if there are marks, or the paint looks dull - which neither apply here. But you did a good job, so I guess no harm done. Someone with less experience could have easily caused more damage to the paint if they don't know how to polish. Also, if you wax the car, you don't wash it again afterwards - whats the point of waxing it and make it shinier if you're going to wash it afterwards? Wash>dry>polish>wax>done.
