I cant wait to try the tortellini casserole, it looks delicious. We love a good casserole. I make poppy seed chicken all the time, we love it. I've never put almonds on top however I'm willing to try it, thanks for sharing. I feel like I'm cooking with my mama when I'm watching you cook, so comfortable and so real in the kitchen. We rarely every measured anything and she taught me all I know about cooking. She was a phenomenal southern cook. This time of year was our time to get together and make her homemade, old fashioned fruit cakes. Everyone in our area loved them and she would sell them and make "her Christmas money". I saw the candied fruit in WalMart the other day and almost cried. She died suddenly and unexpectedly 7/3/2021 and I miss her like crazy. She was my very best friend. Enjoy spending time with your mama because I can tell you I have never experienced a loss like it. She would LOVE your channel. So thank you for taking me back home. God bless!

Mel when I make my Philly Beefsteak Casserole, I use Hillshire farm deli select beef and chopped it up, add onions, bell pepper like you did, and instead of the gravy packet we add beef broth,m worchestire sauce and aunti nono's. Then drain excess fluid and put in backing dish. THen add Provolone cheese. I bake like you do, 25 minutes. I don't add the bisquick on the bottom. MY family puts the casserole on rolls and I eat it like a keto meal with salad. I will try this recipe you did here, but without the bisquick it looks delicious too.

Hi Mel! I'm all for a cozy and comforting casserole. They're perfect for this time of year. These look and sound absolutely delicious! I love adding spinach to recipes too. Great way to get some extra nutrients and it's pretty too. Herbs are easy to grow. They really don't require a lot of care and I always plant them. They're easy to dry too. I think you and your daughter will enjoy growing them. I know the chicken and tortellini will be one I'm going to love. Yum! I love a good Philly cheese steak but I know what you mean about the stringy meat. I take half the meat off the sandwich. Lol Love the flavors though. What a neat idea to make it in casserole form. I make casseroles a lot in the winter, and all three of these are added to my list. I am trying to fight the urge to start my Christmas decorating next weekend. I know it's way too early, and I would have to not use my Thanksgiving decor this year, but the struggle is real..lol. I love Christmas decor so much, and only enjoying it for a month is just not long enough. I am going to try to concentrate on some new recipes like these and keep my mind off of Christmas for at least a couple of weeks. I doubt I will be successful..lol. This is so precious, what a sweet momma you are and believe me your daughter appreciates you! When my oldest was born my momma kept her while I worked full time and it was a 30-40 minute drive home for me. Patrick got off 30 minutes before I did and he would go pick her up and my momma would feed them both dinner with her and daddy and send me a plate home. She knew those first few months and years were hard on my heart, I wanted to be home with my baby and by the time I got home we just had an hour or two before she went to bed, this gave me back some much needed time with my little family every evening. I can just feel the love in you for your family and I just wanted you to know that what you're doing is making an eternal impact - within your own family but also who knows what plans the Lord has for your daughter and contributions she might make in the future with this law degree. Just food for thought, and thank you for watching and letting me know that I'm being just a small part of helping your family.

I took your advice and cooked my large chicken breast in crockpot. I shredded it and separated in Ziploc bags. So last week I took out a bag and made chicken alfredo and I also took the other half and I had enough to make chicken salad. Thanks for that great idea. I just cooked some more today to put it in the freezer to save me some steps when I get ready to prepare meals. I also got that little gadget that you use to break the chicken up. 🙆🏽‍♀️❤️

I put extra marshmallows in my Rice Krispies treats as well. No one in our family makes them as good as Aunt Dana! Thats what they say. I don’t like ‘em hard and dry. I like ‘em soft and gooey. I keep saying I’m going to make chocolate peanut butter RK treats. Those look delicious too! Im going to try the Philly cheese steak casserole, that look yummy! We have a O’Charley’s too, I don’t like it, their meat taste funny. I don’t like steak cut like that because it usually has fat in it. Yucky!! They have a kind of sweet-tart flavor, very strong and the oil they are packed in is full of herbs. If you get them dehydrated not in liquid you would need to rehydrate them if you're not cooking them in a liquid or casserole. I was unsure of the flavor and texture of them too before I tried them in a Tuscan Chicken casserole and one time using them and I was hooked LOL Hope this helps and thank you so much for watching.

I got tickled when you said that your Mom likes the cheeseCAKE sandwich! That is a little tongue twister. I started saying cheeseSTEAK sandwich afterward and got it backward myself! 😂😂 You had just mentioned that the place had cheesecake so that was on the brain! If we can’t laugh at ourself who else can we laugh at! If words can be transposed I will be the one to do it! Years and years ago before I knew what an RV dump was, when my late husband and I had just started dating, we were riding around town and I saw painted on the side of a gas station wall the words RV DUMP in large letters. I looked at Charlie and said good grief I sure would want to have the last name DUMP!!😂😂I don’t know if you are old enough to remember this but back then lots of gas station owners would paint the name of the station along with the owners name on a side wall for all to see. I kept saying hmmm, Mr R V Dump! Charlie got a huge laugh at my expense and I had no idea why!! Until he told me what an RV dump was!!😂😂Girl I felt like a complete idiot!! I think I’m no longer a silly school girl! I certainly got schooled that day about what an rv dump is! I’ll never forget it!! I sure miss my husband. He died five years ago with brain cancer. Tears are flowing now remembering that day! We were so happy for 39 years of marriage plus we dated 3 years! Girl, I just love recipes packed full of flavor! I don’t cook much for myself but I have always enjoyed cooking for family. So I’ll cook that recipe with fire roasted tomatoes for our three sons and their families. I’ll need to triple it for those big eaters. I’ve yet to ever taste anything with fire roasted tomatoes. I’m excited about that recipe. Thanks for the inspiration! Watching your channel sure helped during those long years of grief. Actually still helps!
