I can't lie - I was happy your usual music was back in the opening! It just fits you so well. I just gave away all my cast iron! I have arthritis in my shoulders, and they got too heavy for me to lift without pain, so I got carbon steel that's much more lightweight. And one enameled pan. I have my enamel pottery soup crock for 1-person stew, too. I'm always surprised by how your vegetables and meats are so much cheaper compared to ours in Texas! I'm curious, why do you speak English to the boys? I think it's wonderful how they're growing up knowing so many languages.

Hope your shoulder gets well soon! I think she speaks English with her children to make them get used to the language. Since they hear almost only Japanese outside they'll need to be immersed in English one way or another to get better.

Love that supermarket from what you've shown. Lots of fresh vegetables is always a good thing I think. That is a lot of dressing but then again in japan a lot of salads are eaten as a side so it makes somewhat sense that there are many dressings. Especially if you can find different ones from different prefectures is great. Usually you have to go either to the prefecture or go to a satellite store to find them. Love the two ice cream flavours you found. If I could find them I would try them. Steamed corn is always great, but I was thinking the baby corn is also perfect for tempura. I've only made a version of gapao rice with chicken minced meat, but I make it completely in the microwave. I shoud make it on the stovetop one time. If your basil grows well you can make an iced tea out of the leaves. It's supposed to be really refreshing. You could sweeten it a bit with honey. My daughter loves basil so I'm making her a cup for after school to see how she likes it. I don't have much growing either so I could only make 1 cup.

Oh my the desserts ( cake slices and pies ) looked delicious, I would’ve been spoiled for choice! lol! I must say the fresh vegetables and fruits looked good, too! Your tomatoes and basil both look good! My son is growing corn on the cob in our vegetable patch,as well as pumpkins, garlic, potatoes and cucumbers. Looking forward to eating our fresh vegetables!

Rakastan videoitasi.

We feed the corn leaves to the rabbit, we feed most scraps to the pets as our composter got maggots so we had to start again, I got some of those boxes you got but for cooked meats and cheeses as my family eats so much imported cooked meats and cheeses. It made more sense for us to buy those. Those melon ice creams are quite nice, I like them and I am not a big ice cream eater .

I use baby corn for stir fry vegetable. We call it Capcay in Indonesia. Cut it diagonally with carrots, mustard greens, cauliflower, or whatever vegetables you like. I add meatballs and sometime pour egg at the end. I like it a little bit soupy. Warm food especially in a rainy day. Perhaps similar to Gomoku Yasai Itame (sorry if I'm wrong). You can eat it with rice or noodle (fresh noodle or dry fried noodles).

@@Youcanalsocook you can also add seafood or meat or chicken for protein. Stir fry it first and then add the vegetable from the hardest vegetables that takes time to cook, to the easiest fastest to cook. If you like thick soup, you can add corn starch at the last and quickly stir it. Add it a little bit at a time, look at how thick you want the soup. I like to try lina's version too. Looks delicious too. New idea for me. 😘

Hey lina..i am badly addicted to your vlogs ...absolutely love watching them.. i love how you take care of your family, always try to feed them a nutritious meal.. love your meal combinations.. Actually i have been to japan ..lived in shimada, shizouka perfecture.. and i really miss Japan.. There were few things which i wanted to say.. i have seen in your vlogs that you slice and peal onions and keep them in fridge..that is not healthy at all..please google if you can refrigerate peeled or sliced onions .. Secondly, if you're refrigerating your vegetables..i suggest not to cut or peel them in advance... they will loose all their freshness ..for e.g cucumbers , you can just wash, dry and then keep it. just a friendly suggestion. Cut them when you are going to use them.. or boil the eggs when u want to have boiled eggs. Keep making lotsssss of vlogssss because i loveee watching them..

Hi Linna, why don't you use a cooler bag to transport the products you buy at the supermarket that have to be kept in the refrigerator or are frozen? It is important to maintain the so-called "cold chain" for that type of product to avoid food poisoning.
@NomadicIslanders4 ай бұрын
Because it really isn’t as temperature sensitive as some people make it out to be. Most people in the world don’t do that and never get food poisoning.
