I love all of these color shading thoughts and ideas of yours. I also love to think of experimenting with the colors and forms next time. Can't wait. :)

It's an iridescent sheen I think. I also really like the color of that one. ❤

I love the Fool’s Gold. And I liked it when you BBC called it Champagne! Us non flower farmers would still buy these seeds for our mason jar bouquets!!!❤❤❤

I like the shorter Fools Gold. For my garden the varied heights would work well.

That is beautiful! I love a true maroon, but that shimmer makes for a very special upgrade for arranging!! I love it!

Love them all!! Thick ones, wispy ones, and both colors 😊

Surfactant is what you are describing. I definitely saw the blue color and the difference was amazing. Since a "true" blue color is hard to obtain in nature, adding the blue tones makes this new celosia amazing. I am going to try to send you a picture

Is it like what feathers have iridescent blue sheen caused by the light bouncing off something in the structure of your new found variety. Good luck with them all. Can’t wait to see what you narrow it down to

Look up the finishes that are used in the jewelry and beading terms. AB or aurora borealis (probably spelled it wrong) is one finish, gunmetal is another. There are a lot more.

Would you call the motor oil sheen "opalescence"?

That is gorgeous!!!

There were a few other commenters before me who called it correctly - it's an blue iridescent sheen. As an artist I will buy some paint colors that have a "flip" iridescence to them...meaning in one viewing direction they one color (say pink) and then you move around the painting in a different light and the paint turns into a different color (say to a purple iridescence). Hope this helps.

What do you call motor-oil-puddle-rainbow? Ummmm gutter rainbows! lol I do like the wispy form and the blue cast, I think it would do well with some of the darker unicorn zinnias!!! I’m growing rose gold, unicorn, and precious metals and I’m jaw-droppingly happy every time I cut flowers!! Rose gold is complimenting my cherry, rose, white, chocolate sunflowers so well too!!!
